Languages (ttpmc4511m000)

Use this session to process the translation for different languages.

This session is part of the composite Translations (ttpmc4610m000) session.

Note

Translation-related sessions, fields, statuses, and commands are only available on our internal translation server.

To log on to a translation server, specify this command in the LN environment connection settings: -set TRANSLATION_SERVER=1

Alternatively, add this line in $BSE\lib\bse_vars:

Translation Run

The number of the translation run.

Language

The language as defined in the Software Languages (ttaad1510m000) session.

Code

The free language code as defined in the Translation Languages (ttpmc4101m000) session.

The status.

The date the status has changed.

User

The user who caused the last status change.

 

Import LTS File...

Starts the Import Language-Dependent Data from XML - Wizard (ttadv8920m000) session for the selected records per record.

This command is only enabled in these situations:

  • The record is not completed.
  • If the status was not New or Imported, a warning is displayed that the records should be Approved and Generated again.
Approve Translation...

After review by the translators, this action sets the translation to approved.

This command is only enabled in these situations:

  • The status is not New or Completed.
  • If the status was Generated, a warning is displayed that the records must be generated again.
Generate Translation Solution...

Generates solutions for the selected languages. The solutions can be found in the Solutions by Translation Run (ttpmc4512m000) and Solutions (ttpmc1100m000) sessions.

This command is only enabled in these situations:

  • The status is Approved or Generated.
  • Only one record is selected.

If the status is Generated, the solution is removed and created again, so all changes to the solution are removed.

Generate and Export Translation Solution...

Generates and immediately exports the solution. If solutions for all languages are exported, the translation run is set to completed.

This command is only enabled if the status is Approved or Generated and these situations occur:

  • The same languages in previous translation runs of the same update VRC all have status "Completed".
  • If the status is Generated, the solution is removed and created again, so all changes to the solution are removed.
