Components by Solution (ttpmc1520m000)

Use this session to connect the modified components to a solution.

If only one session uses a component, the session code appears in the Session Code field. If more than one session uses the component, an asterisk (*) appears in that field. Use the Sessions by Component form command on the appropriate menu to display all the sessions that use the component.

For the language-dependent components, all base languages for which the component is present in the export VRC appear by default. This applies to labels, messages, and questions.

For other components that have a description in different languages, you can use language 2 (English).

You can only start this session from the appropriate menu of the Solutions (ttpmc1100m000) session.

Base VRC

A means in PMC to identify products in a unique way. Updates at the distributor side are provided with the base VRC identifier. A base VRC can contain the code of the physical VRC in which the related master product is installed, for example, B61_a, but can also be a code not related to a physical VRC, for example, 7.6_a_tt. At the recipient side, every update VRC is linked to a base VRC identifier. The installation process checks if the base VRC identifier of the update matches with the base VRC identifier of the update VRC. If not, you cannot install the update in that update VRC.

Solution Code

A unique identification of the solution in a base VRC.

Package

The package to which the component belongs.

Note

A solution can relate to more than one package. The Tools package can not be combined with other packages. The types of packages that you can use is determined by the first package specified.

Component Code

The component identification, for example, module and session code.

If you zoom to a session to select a component, the component type you selected in the Component Type field determines the session that starts .

Session Code

The session that uses the component.

If more than one session uses the component, an asterisk (*) appears. Use the Sessions by Component form command on the appropriate menu to display all the sessions that use the component.

Language

The language code of the component.

This field is only filled for language-dependent components, such as labels, messages, and questions or software components that have language-dependent descriptions. By default, this field contains the language codes of the languages for which the component exists in the relevant VRC: for Tools the Tools VRC, for others packages the development VRC or export VRC.
