Creating TAT Document for a Service Order Activity

A TAT Document is created for a service order activity if:

  • The service order activity is created manually and the sold to business partner is specified for the related service order.
  • The related service order is created by transferring a Planned Activity or a Maintenance Notification.
  • The related service order is created from a Field Change Order.

The document is created only if an applicable term is available in the Turnaround Time Terms (tcttm0110m000) session. Else, the service order activity is created without the TAT Document and a warning message is displayed.

In case a service contract is linked to the item, serial number or the installation group specified for the service order activity, the TAT Document data of the service contract is copied to the new TAT Document created for the service order activity.

For the existing service order activities that do not have a TAT Document linked, you can use the Create Turnaround Time Document option in the Service Order Activities (tssoc2110m000) session to create the Document. This option is enabled only for the service order activities.

If the TAT Document is not linked to the existing service order activities, you can use the Create Turnaround Time Document option in the Service Order Activities (tssoc2110m000) session to create the TAT Document. This option is enabled, only if:

  • The status of the service order activity is set to Free.
  • The related service order is not created from a Call or a Quote.

If the details of the service order activity are modified (for example, the Item is changed), the Term applicable to the TAT Document is updated based on the modified values.
