Link Installations (tscfg2203m000)

Use this session to link a range of serialized items as installations, to the specified installation group.

To link the serialized items to the installation group:

  • The owner of the serialized item and the owner of the installation group must be same.
  • The items must be the top items in the physical breakdown structure or the items must not have a physical breakdown structure.

The Location Address of the installation group is defaulted from the Installation Groups (tsbsc1100m000) session, if specified. This address is updated for all the serialized items that are linked as installations, to the installation group.

If the Location Address of the installation group is not specified in the Installation Groups (tsbsc1100m000) session, you can specify the Location Address range for the serialized items. The serialized items, with the location within the specified range, are linked to the installation group. However, the location address of these items is not updated.

To access this session, you can use the Link Installations option in the following sessions:

  • The Installation Groups (tsbsc1100m000) session
  • The Installation Group (tsbsc1600m000) session

 

Installation Group

The code that identifies the installation group.

Description

The description or name of the code.

Ownership

The code of the sold-to business partner that owns the Installation group.

Description

The description or name of the code.

Service Contract

The code of the contract linked to the installation group.

Description

The description or name of the code.

Location Address

The installation group owner's address.

Note
  • This value is defaulted from the Installation Groups (tsbsc1100m000) session.
  • You cannot modify this value.
Service Office

The From and To fields define a range of: the service departments.

Serialized Item Group

The From and To fields define a range of: the serialized item groups.

Location Address

The From and To fields define a range of: the addresses of the items.

Note

This field is displayed only if the Address of the installation group owner is not specified in the Installation Groups (tsbsc1100m000) session.

From Item

The From and To fields define a range of: the items.

From Serial Number

The From and To fields define a range of: the serial numbers.

Activate Installations

If this check box is selected, the Status is set to Active for each serialized item added to the installation group.

Note

This field is displayed only if the Configuration Status Usage check box is selected in the Configuration Management Parameters (tscfg0100m000) session.

Error Report

If this check box is selected, an error report is generated with the details of the error when the process execution fails.

Links the specified serialized items to the selected Installation Group.
