Task (tppdm0111s000)

Use this session to create standard labor cost objects. Labor is one of the five cost types that Project uses to categorize cost objects.

The currency used for the standard object is the reference currency of the logistic/operational company. If you link the standard object to a project, you can start using the currencies of the linked financial company.

 

Task

The code that identifies the cost object.

General
Description

The description or name of the code.

Search Key

The search key associated with the cost object.

Trade Group

The trade group by which it is expected that the labor defined in this cost object will be executed.

Description

The description or name of the code.

Active for Planned Cost

If this check box is selected, the labor cost object (task) is considered for the calculation of the planned costs. For example, the creation of labor budget lines that require planned cost.

Note

This is also applicable for the sundry cost type.

Active for Actual Cost

If this check box is selected, the labor cost object (task) is considered for the calculation of the actual costs. For example, the calculation of project hours that require actual cost.

This is also applicable for the sundry cost type.

Text

If this check box is selected, the current cost object has an associated text that you can access by clicking the Text button.

Cost
Cost Rate Currency

The currency that the cost rate is expressed in.

Cost Rate

The cost labor rate per unit, for the cost object.

In Home Currency

This field is only available if your company uses an independent currency system. Then the cost rate is expressed in the home currency. You can enter a new amount, regardless of the exchange rate between currencies.

Cost Rate Transaction Date

The last date that the cost rate was changed.

Intercompany Rate

The currency in which the intercompany cost rate is expressed.

Intercompany Cost Amount

The intercompany cost rate.

The intercompany rate is used for project expenses only, If the Price Origin field is set to Commercial Price in the Intercompany Trade Order (tcitr3600m000),

Intercompany Rate Transaction Date

The last date and time when the intercompany cost rate is modified.

Control Code

The control code associated with the cost object.

Control Code

The description or name of the code.

Control Function

Indicates the function of the cost object for cost control. A cost object can be defined as a control code for itself or for other cost objects.

  • You can use a cost component to create a cross view in your budget or cost control for cost objects that share particular characteristics.
  • You can only specify a cost component for which the Component Type is set to Detail or Collect in the Cost Components (tcmcs0148m000) session.
Sales
Sales Rate Currency

The currency in which the sales rate is expressed.

Sales Rate

The sales labor rate per unit, for the labor code.

In Home Currency

The sales labor rate expressed in the home currency.

In Home Currency

One of a company's base currencies in which LN registers and reports amounts.

In a multicurrency system, up to three home currencies can be defined:

Sales Rate Transaction Date

The last date that the sales labor rate was changed.

Unit
Unit

The unit in which the cost object is measured.

Description

The description or name of the code.

Norm

The number of hours required to execute one unit of this labor cost object. This norm is used in the actual budget to determine the number of hours on a budget line. Number of hours = Quantity x Norm

Rate Unit

The unit of the rate is always a time unit.

Options
Register Progress

If this check box is selected, progress can be recorded for the cost object for the duration of the project.

Used in Schedule

If this check box is selected, the labor cost object can be used in an ESP (external scheduling package).

Billable

If this check box is selected, the selected standard labor cost object can be invoiced to the business partner.
