Mass change on Job Shop Routing

Mass changes in routing are caused by changes on the shop floor. A change note is created to accommodate the changes ranging from a change in the lay-out of the shop floor, or changes in the production process, or in logistics, and so on. A change notes accompanies a change for a series of objects. These can be bills of materials, routings, item revisions. The note can be either for a change performed in LN, or a change done in PLM.

These are few scenarios for mass change in job shop routing:

  • On the shop floor, a work center is replaced by a new work center (on the same site)
  • On the shop floor, a work center is refitted with a different type of machines
  • On the shop floor, a machine is replaced by a 30% faster successor
  • Due to an additional labor resource, the setup time is 25% less
  • Due to a learning curve, the cycle time drops with 10%
  • Due to logistical changes, the queue, move, wait, or transfer batch change

Mass changes on routing can be done using these sessions:

  • Change Job Shop Operation (tirou4201m000)
  • Reassign Job Shop Operation (tirou4201m100) session

Change note related changes can be grouped together using the Change Notes (timfc0131m000) session.

Note

The Change Notes functionality is implemented only if the Change Notes Active check box is selected in the Product Engineering Parameters (timfc0100m000) session.
