| Job Shop Bills of Material (tibom3100m000)Use this session to manage bills of material (BOM) header data for multi-site BOMs
used during production in the job shop. Note This session only applies if Job Shop by Site check box in the Implemented Software Components (tccom0500m000) is selected. Site A business location of an enterprise that can maintain its own
logistical data. It includes a collection of warehouses, departments and
assembly lines at the same location. Sites are used to model the supply chain
in a multisite environment. These restrictions apply to sites: - A site cannot cross countries. The warehouses and
departments of the site must be in the same country as the site.
- A site is linked to one planning cluster. Consequently, all
warehouses and work centers of a site must belong to the same planning
cluster.
- A site is linked to one logistic company.
You can link a site to an enterprise unit or an enterprise unit to a site. If an enterprise unit is linked to a site, the entities of the site belong to the enterprise unit.
Conversely, if a site is linked to an enterprise unit, the entities of the
enterprise unit belong to the site. Model The bill of material number. Revision The bill of material revision. Routing The sequence of operation required to manufacture an
item. Note A bill of material may be linked to a specific routing. If
this field is empty, the bill of material can be used with any
routing. BOM Quantity The number of manufactured products to which a bill of
materials (BOM) applies. The BOM quantity enables you to specify very small
product quantities as BOM components. Example You need very small amounts of certain colors to mix one
liter of a specific paint, Cotton White. Therefore, a BOM quantity of 1000
liter is defined. The component quantities for the paint can then be as
follows: Paint Cotton White, 1000 liter: | White | 999 liter | Yellow | 0.6 liter | Red | 0.2 liter | Blue | 0.2 liter |
Yield The yield that is used in calculations for aggregate
planning. When LN plans material requirements by using a fixed lead time, LN uses the Order Yield field, rather than routing data. This
process is carried out in the Order Planning module. The value that you type in this field must be an
estimation of the yield for all operations in the item routing. For
example: - Yield on operation 10: 90%
- Yield on operation 20: 80%
- Yield on operation 30: 90%
In this case, the value that you must type in the Order Yield field is .90 * .80 * .90 =
65% Setup Scrap The scrap that is used in calculations for aggregate
planning. When LN plans material requirements by using a fixed lead time, LN uses the Setup Scrap field, rather than routing data. The
planning process is carried out in the Order Planning module. The value that you type in this field must be an
estimation of the scrap for all operations in the item routing. Use for Planning If this check box is selected, the selected JSBOM is used for
planning. Note Per item and site, only one Job Shop bill of material can be
used for planning. Use for Costing If this check box is selected, the selected JSBOM is used for
costing. Note Only one JSBOM per product can be used for costing
purposes. Status The status of the production bill of material. Effective Date The date on which the validity of the materials or the
operations is checked. The application considers a material or operation to be valid,
if this date is within the effective date and the expiry date
range. The effective dates are used in the explosion process to
create demands for the correct items. Expiry Date The date after which the PBOM is no longer valid. Created On The date the PBOM was created. Created By The name of the employee responsible for the creation of the
PBOM. Approved On The date the production bill of material was
approved. Approved By The employee responsible for the approval of the production
bill of material. Expired On The date the production bill of material was
expired. Expired By The eployee responsible for expiring the production bill of
material. Text If this check box is selected, a text is present. Source The origine of the job shop bill of material. Source Revision If the bill of material is derived, this is the source of the
bill of material revision. | |
