| Customer Requested Dates HandlingThe Use Customer Requested Delivery Date parameter can be
set in the Sales Order Parameters (tdsls0100s400) session to determine: - The original date on which the customer requested the delivery
of goods.
- The original delivery date promised to the customer.
- The final planned delivery date calculated for the delivery of
goods.
- The number of times the promised delivery date is updated
before the current planned delivery date is calculated.
When the Use Customer Requested Delivery Date check box is
selected in the Sales Order Parameters (tdsls0100s400) session, you can
view these fields in the Sales Order Lines (tdsls4101m000) session: Initial Requested Delivery Date The planned delivery date that is initially requested by the
customer. Infor LN defaults the Customer Requested Delivery Date and this date is
updated until the sales order line is approved. Customer Requested Delivery Date The planned delivery date that is currently requested by the
customer. When a sales order line is created, this date is same as the Initial Requested Delivery Date. If the customer
requests for an update of the planned delivery date after the sales order line
is approved, Infor LN updates the Customer Requested Delivery Date and as a result, the Planned Delivery Date is also updated. Modifying the Customer Requested Delivery Date does not update the Initial Requested Delivery Date. Original Promised Delivery Date The planned delivery date originally promised to the
customer. The value in this field is defaulted from the Planned Delivery Date when the Order Promising Status is set to Accepted before the sales order line status is set to Approved. Planned Delivery Date Changes Indicates the number of times the Planned Delivery Date is updated after the sales
order line is approved.
Note - These fields are also displayed in the Sales Order Line Components (tdsls4163m000) session. The Planned Delivery Date and the Customer Requested Delivery Date are synchronized
with the related components.
- When a copy of the existing sales order, sales order line or
sales order line component is created, Infor LN defaults the Customer Requested Delivery Date and the Planned Delivery Date from the existing object. When
a copy of a sales order is created, the Copy Template can be used to specify
the method for copying the dates.
- When a back order line is created from a sales order line,
Infor LN defaults the Customer Requested Delivery Date, Planned Delivery Date and the Original Promised Delivery Date from the related
sales order line. The Planned Delivery Date Changes field is set to zero.
- When a sales order line is generated from a sales object,
such as a Sales Quotation, the Customer Requested Delivery Date is defaulted from
the Planned Delivery Date specified for the related
object.
