Authorization and Security Parameters (tcsec0100m000)

Use this session to specify the required authorizations and security parameters for a company. After all the permissions are setup, use this session to activate the permissions for the users in the specific company.

  • If in the Permissions (tcsec3100m000) session, permissions are not defined on a detailed level or set to expired, the application considers the authorization permissions defined per business process in the Project Management Default Authorization in this session.
  • The default settings No Permission or View are generally used. You can use the Permissions (tcsec3100m000) session to provide the employees a higher authorization level such as View, Use, and Modify for a specific (ranges of) documents or projects. It is also possible to set the default to Use or Modify, in which case you must define the authorizations correctly, if wide access is not required for employees and when the permissions are not specified in the Permissions (tcsec3100m000) session.

Enabling
Authorization and Security Enabled

If this check box is selected, the authorization and security functionality is enabled. You can also specify the company in which the authorization and security data is set up.

Authorization Definition in Company

The company, in which the authorization and security data is set up.

Note
  • The company must belong to the specified package combination.
  • This field is enabled only if you select the Authorization and Security Enabled check box.

The setup of the authorizations can be done in a specific company but other companies can use this setup by referencing that setup company. For example, setup is done in company 300 but companies 301 and 302 can make use of the setup in 300.

Description

The description or name of the code.

Enforce Active Permissions for Current Company

If this check box is selected, the authorization permissions are activated for the users in the company specified in the Authorization Definition in Company field.

Directly Apply Employee Authorizations for
Sales Order

If this check box is selected, when a new sales order document is created by an employee, the permissions are applied to all the employees of the same department.

Note

This check box is used to indicate if the permissions must be assigned to the employees immediately. However, based on the number of employees in a department, the duration to apply the authorizations may vary.
