Project Pegging Parameters (tcpeg0100m000)Use this session to define parameters for project pegging. Before you can use project pegging, the Project Pegging check box must be selected in the Implemented Software Components (tccom0100s000) session.
Introduction Date Description The description of the parameter set. General Planning Group Commingling Across Planning Groups Allowed If this check box is selected, supply from project pegged items is possible across planning groups. If this check box is cleared, commingling of supply for project pegged items is restricted to the planning group. Note You can exclude one or more planning groups from commingling. Default Planning Group The planning group defined as the default for the project. New (TP) projects are by default assigned to this planning group. DPAS Control Use DPAS If this check box is selected, you can use DPAS ratings, which can be defined and maintained in the DPAS (tcmcs0172m000) session. Miscellaneous Restrict Commingling and Cost Peg Transfers per Item If this check box is selected, commingling and cost peg transfers are restricted. Commingling Exceptions per Project If this check box is selected, you can specify commingling exceptions in the Commingling Exceptions (tcpeg0102m000) session. Note Commingling exceptions can be specified only if this parameter is selected. Use Identical Cost Pegs for Multi-Company Warehouse Transfers If this check box is selected, the cost peg distributions of the receiving and supplying company will be identical. Note The Borrow/Loan and Payback check box must be selected to make use of this functionality. Project Pegged Safety Stock Allowed If this check box is selected, a safety stock is allowed in a project in which pegging is implemented. Audit Manual Project Peg Modification If this check box is selected, you must specify a reason code for a manual change to a project peg transfer line or project peg distribution line. This reason code, which you can define in the Reasons (tcmcs0105m000) session, must be of the type Project Peg Audit History. It is applicable to all pegs in the peg distribution. Note Manual changes and reasons for cost peg transfer lines and cost peg distribution lines are saved in the Cost Peg Audit History (tpctm2500m000) session. For cost peg transfer lines, LN creates separate audit history records for the transfer-from and the transfer-to information. Project Peg Receipt Transactions If this check box is selected, project pegged receipt transactions are recorded for future auditability in the Receipt Line Peg Distribution Audit (whinh3579m000) session. In the Receipt Line Peg Distribution Audit (whinh3579m000) session, information is recorded about the project peg that receives the item, all the other pegs on the same order (line), and each peg's required date. You can view why a peg on an order (line) received a partial or complete quantity on a specific date. Cost Peg Transfers Excess Sequence Priority 1 Select what type of inventory is to be used first to fulfil demand. Priority 2 Select what type of inventory is to be used second to fulfil demand. Priority 3 Select what type of inventory is to be used third to fulfil demand. Ignore ATT Time Fence during Outbound If this check box is selected, the lead time fence for the available to transfer (ATT) inventory is ignored during outbound advice for materials. This means, that the available to transfer lead time is assumed to be zero. Therefore, the warehouse outbound procedure can issue any item that is on hand in the warehouse and generate the required cost peg transfers. Borrow/Loan and Payback Borrow/Loan and Payback If this check box is selected, borrow/loan transfers of inventory between cost pegs are enabled within the current company. Note You can only select this check box if the Use Available to Transfer check box is selected in the Planning Parameters (cprpd0100m000) session. Aging If this check box is selected, borrow/loan transfers are finalized after a set period of time. When the Aging Period has elapsed, the borrow/loan transfer becomes permanent. As a result, the value of the materials is booked to the borrowing project. Note The loaning project does not get its materials replenished as Aging effects only the financial payback. This may result in shortages at a later stage. The Aging process is controlled at company level with the time periods set for all items and projects simultaneously. Period Specify the period after which borrow/loan transfers are finalized and become permanent transfers. Allowed values
Log Borrow/Loan Transactions in Project If this check box is selected, borrow/loan transactions are logged in the Financial Transactions (tpppc2100m100) session. Ignore Cost Peg Transfer Rules for Paybacks If this check box is selected, cost peg transfer rules for payback transfers are ignored for specific planning groups, projects or cost pegs. Transfer rules are specified in the Cost Peg Transfer Rules (tcpeg1100m000) session. Allow Manual Borrow/Loan Cost Peg Transfers If this check box is selected, you can manually create borrow/loan cost-peg transfers. You can specify borrow/loan transfers in the Generate Project Cost Peg Transfer (whinh1240m000) and the Project Cost Peg Transfer Lines (whinh1145m000) sessions. Payback for Excess Inventory If this check box is selected, you can manually create borrow/loan cost-peg transfers that transfer excess inventory. Note This applies to manual cost peg transfers. Borrow/loan cost peg transfers that are created automatically when outbound advice is generated can only transfer available to transfer (ATT) inventory. Only permanent automatic transfers can transfer excess inventory.
