Planning Clusters (tcemm1135m000)

Use this session to define planning clusters.

Note
  • LN only supports planning clusters for warehouses.
  • To link a warehouse to a planning cluster, select the relevant planning cluster in the Warehouses (tcemm1112m000) session.
  • If the multisite concepts are activated, these rules apply:

    • A warehouse is linked to a site, and the site is linked to the planning cluster.
    • Planning clusters are mandatory. A planning cluster must be linked to one or more sites.
    • A site must be linked to a planning cluster.
    • A site cannot be linked to more than one planning cluster.

Planning Cluster

An object used to group warehouses for which the inbound and outbound flow of goods and materials is planned collectively. For this purpose, the demand and supply of the warehouses of the planning cluster is aggregated. Within a planning cluster one supply source is used, such as production, purchasing or distribution.

If multisite is implemented, a planning cluster must include one or more sites. The site or sites include the warehouses for which the planning processes are performed. A site is linked to one planning cluster.

If this check box is selected, the planning cluster is associated with a sold-to business partner for which you perform the supply planning.

You can only select this check box in a vendor managed inventory (VMI) situation.

Sold-to Business Partner

The sold-to business partner associated with this planning cluster.

In a vendor managed inventory (VMI) setup, LN uses the planning cluster's sold-to business partner and optionally the ship-to business partner to search for a terms and conditions agreement between you and a customer for which you perform the supply planning.

Ship-to Business Partner

The ship-to business partner associated with this planning cluster.

In a vendor managed inventory (VMI) setup, LN uses the planning cluster's sold-to business partner and optionally the ship-to business partner to search for a terms and conditions agreement between you and a customer for which you perform the supply planning.
