Working Hours Types (tcccp0103m000)

Use this session to display and maintain working hours types. For each working hours type you can enter data such as start time, end time, and day percentage. This data is used as default data when you create or maintain a calendar.

Note

Working Hours Type

The code that identifies the working hours type.

A working hours type defines a part of a work day.

Start Time

The start time and end time mark the time frame to which this working hours type applies.

Efficiency Factor

You can use the efficiency factor to:

  • Take into account resources that work more efficiently in the planning of job shop operations. For example, in the morning a certain employee works harder than in the afternoon, then you enter an efficiency factor of 1.1 for the calendar line with time interval 0900 - 1200.
  • Shorten the lead time of operations by hiring extra resource for certain work.
Note

Do not confuse efficiency factors with capacity percentages. Efficiency factors impact on the lead-time calculation for which the corresponding calendar is used. In other words, they influence the speed at which the work is executed.

Capacity percentages give information about the utilization rate of a resource.

Related topics

Capacity Percentage

For example, if you enter 80 here, a resource cannot be used for more than 80% of a time interval of the current time interval type.

By default, LN sets the value of the Capacity Percentage field to 100%.

Overtime

If this check box is selected, the working hours type is defined as overtime.
