Internal-supplier selection (procedure)
Distribution planning is based on supplying relationships. To cover demand that originates from distribution order
requirements, LN must
select the the appropriate supplying relationships. Online manual topic Selecting internal suppliers describes the corresponding selection process.
The last step in this process is the distribution of the
required volume over the supplying relationships that were chosen in previous
steps. LN uses a phased
procedure to do so. This topics gives an overview of the phases of this
distribution procedure.
Phases of internal-supplier selection
- Phase1: Only use the suppliers that can deliver on time, and
for which there is a minimum volume constraint that is greater than zero (see
the Minimum Volume field in the Supplying Relationships (cprpd7130m000) session). The lot-size rules are taken
into account.
- Phase 2: Consider the suppliers that can deliver on time, and
for which there is no minimum volume constraint. The lot-size rules are taken
into account.
- Phase 3: Consider the suppliers that can only deliver too
early. The lot-size rules are taken into account.
- Phase 4: Consider the suppliers that can deliver on time. The
lot-size rules are ignored.
- Phase 5: Consider the suppliers that can only deliver too
early. The lot-size rules are ignored.
- Phase 6: Consider the suppliers that can only deliver late. The
lot-size rules are taken into account.
- Phase 7: Consider the suppliers that can only deliver late. The
lot-size rules are ignored.
