Planning Performance indicators in Enterprise Planning are used to monitor the planning performance of plan items, resources, and
scenarios. The Resource Analysis and Optimization module offers several sessions that
you can use to: - View the performance of
plan items and resources
- Compare the performance
of various plan items
- Compare the performance
of various resources
- Compare the overall
performance of two scenarios
The performance indicators represent several aspects of your
planning: - Demand (for example, the
total demand that is delivered late)
- Supply (for example, the
average throughput time)
- Inventory (for example,
the average projected inventory)
- Finance (for example,
the total material costs)
Types of performance indicators The Performance Indicators (cprao2201s000) session contains several tabs on which the
performance indicators are subdivided according to the following main planning
issues: - Utilization: performance indicators on this tab relate
to capacity issues such as the capacity used for a range of resources/plan
items, the free capacity, and the average capacity utilization.
- Delivery: performance indicators on this tab relate to
delivery related issues such as the status of the inventory, customer service,
and nonconsumed forecast.
- Inventory: performance indicators on this tab relate
to the absolute and the relative inventory performance.
- Financial: performance indicators on this tab relate
to the cash flow and the production and material costs.
The performance indicators on these tabs corncern plan items,
resources, or both. How to work with performance indicators Use the Find Performance Indicators (cprao2202s000) session to define the scenario, the resources and the plan items for which LN must compute the performance
indicators. LN computes and stores indicators separately for each
item or resource. You can view these indicators in the following sessions: - Plan Items - Performance Indicators (cprao2550m000): in this session, you can view
the performance indicators of several plan items simultaneously. This can help
you to identify the plan items that need special attention from a planning
point of view.
- Resources - Performance Indicators (cprao2560m000): in this session, you can view
the performance indicators of several resources simultaneously. In this way you
can compare the performance of resources.
You can use the following sessions to obtain performance
indicators on the level of scenarios, for a range of items and resources: - Performance Indicators (cprao2201s000): this session displays the performance
indicators for one specific scenario. If you click the Find Record icon, you
can specify a particular scenario, and ranges of plan items and resources for
which LN must display the performance indicators.
- Compare Scenario Performance (cprao2203s000): this session displays the performance
indicators for two particular scenarios. If you click the Find Record icon, you
can specify two scenarios, and ranges of plan items and resources for which LN displays the performance indicators. You can use this session to compare
the performance of two scenarios.
