Option Sets (ttchm1130s000)

Use this session to define and maintain user authorizations and preferences for the chart application.

This enables you to, for example, give a limited number of users permission to change data.

The record with user name "" (blank) serves as default, and must be present in each application. If there are no options for a user, he will be assigned the default options. If no user options are defined, you cannot start the Chart Manager.

User

The name of the user to which the options apply.

Hinweis

The record with user name "" (blank) is used as default, and must be present in each application.

The default record is not necessarily a logon name or a Tools user. You can define different user groups, each with their own options.

Chart List

.

If this check box is selected, the user is authorized to:

  • Import charts
  • Create charts
  • Save or delete charts

Authorizing a specific user is not always necessary, because an application can itself create charts that are removed when the Chart Manager (ttchm1000m000) session is closed.

Chart Type List

If this check box is selected, you can authorize users to define or import new chart types in the Chart Type List (ttchm1150m000) session. This session is accessible through the Datei menu of the SE@ttchm1000m0000 session.

Domains

If this check box is selected, you can authorize users to change domain data in the Domains (ttchm3105s000) session or on the Data menu of the Chart Manager (ttchm1000m000) session. Domains are used to define the scale division of axes and to verify data input.

Sets

If this check box is selected, you can authorize users to change sets in the Sets (ttchm3106s000) session or on the Data menu of the Chart Manager (ttchm1000m000) session. In the Sets (ttchm3106s000) session sets of labels are defined which are used in graphs (along an axis or in the legend).

Axis Data

If this check box is selected, you can authorize users to change axis data in the Axis Data (ttchm3130s000) session or on the Data menu of the Chart Manager (ttchm1000m000) session.

Source Input

If this check box is selected, you can authorize users to import data from the application program into the Chart Manager.

If input is requested, the application program retrieves the desired data from a table, database or file and sends it to the Chart Manager.

Projections

If this check box is selected, you can authorize users to change projection points in the Projections (ttchm3150s000) session or on the Data menu of the Chart Manager (ttchm1000m000) session. A projection point (a point on the category axis) distinguishes between different projection areas.

Source Output

If this check box is selected, you can authorize users to send (manipulated) data back to the application program to be stored in a database, table or file. If the user is authorized to manipulate data, this option is useful.

Footnotes

If this check box is selected, you can authorize users to change footnotes in the Footnotes (ttchm3180s000) session or on the Data menu of the Chart Manager (ttchm1000m000) session. Footnotes provide extra information on data points or projection points.

Ins/Del Data

If this check box is selected, you can authorize users to add new data points to charts or remove existing ones.

Adding or deleting data points can be dangerous if the application is linked to a database or table in which the user has permission to save data.

Title

If this check box is selected, you can authorize users to change titles and subtitles in the Chart Titles (ttchm3160s000) session or on the Data menu of the Chart Manager (ttchm1000m000) session.

Modify Data

If this check box is selected, you can authorize users to change the values of data points.

Changing the values of data points can be dangerous if the application is linked to a database or table in which the user has permission to save data.
