Inventory by Specification (whwmd2519m000)Use this session to view inventory by either:
The allocated-to inventory displayed in this session is allocated based on specifications. You can use specifications to allocate inventory to demand orders if the allocation and hard pegging functionality is implemented. If the Advise Unallocated Inventory check box is selected in the Inventory Handling Parameters (whinh0100m000) session, outbound advice for outbound order lines with specifications can include unallocated inventory (inventory without specifications). Availability The Availability tab displays the Economic Stock, the Actual Available Inventory, and the Actual Available Inventory for Planning for a warehouse and item. Economic Stock: A + B - C + D - E Actual Available Inventory: A - F - G Actual Available Inventory for Planning: A - H + D - E
Warehouse A place for storing goods. For each warehouse, you can enter address data and data relating to its type. Description The description or name of the code. Site A business location of an enterprise that can maintain its own logistical data. It includes a collection of warehouses, departments and assembly lines at the same location. Sites are used to model the supply chain in a multisite environment. These restrictions apply to sites:
You can link a site to an enterprise unit or an enterprise unit to a site. If an enterprise unit is linked to a site, the entities of the site belong to the enterprise unit. Conversely, if a site is linked to an enterprise unit, the entities of the enterprise unit belong to the site. Site Description The description or name of the code. Item The raw materials, subassemblies, finished products, and tools that can be purchased, stored, manufactured, and sold. An item can also represent a set of items handled as one kit, or which exist in multiple product variants. You can also define nonphysical items, which are not retained in inventory but can be used to post costs or to invoice services to customers. The examples of nonphysical items:
Item Description The description or name of the code. Inventory by Specification Warehouse The warehouse in which the allocated inventory is stored. Warehouse The warehouse in which the allocated inventory is stored.
Effectivity Unit A reference number, for example a sales order line or a project deliverable line, that is used to model deviations for a unit effective item. Inventory Unit The unit of measure in which the inventory of an item is recorded, such as piece, kilogram, box of 12, or meter. The inventory unit is also used as the base unit in measure conversions, especially for conversions that concern the order unit and the price unit on a purchase order or a sales order. These conversions always use the inventory unit as the base unit. An inventory unit therefore applies to all item types, also to item types that cannot be kept in stock. Demand Peg Allocated to Sold-to Business Partner The sold-to business partner to which the inventory was allocated. LN can use the inventory specified by this record for the business partner specified by this field; LN does not use this inventory for any other business partner. Note The field is displayed only when the Demand Pegging check box is selected in the Implemented Software Components (tccom0100s000) session. Allocated to Business Object The type of order to which the inventory was allocated, such as, Sales Order, or Service Order. Note The following fields are always used in combination; together, they identify the relevant order or order line:
Allowed values Allocated to Business Object The order, or order line, to which the inventory was allocated. Note The following fields are always used in combination; together, they identify the relevant order or order line:
The field is displayed only when the Demand Pegging check box is selected in the Implemented Software Components (tccom0100s000) session. Allocated to Reference A reference code to which the inventory was allocated. LN can use the inventory specified by this record to fulfill a demand specified by this reference and for no other purpose. LN can use this field in two ways:
You can use a reference code to keep a collection of parts linked together, even if they follow different routings, for example, if some of the parts are transported to a subcontractor to be returned later. Note The field is displayed only when the Demand Pegging check box is selected in the Implemented Software Components (tccom0100s000) session. Inventory by Specification Derived from Product Variant A unique configuration of a configurable item. The variant results from the configuration process and includes information such as feature options, components, and operations. Example Configurable item: electric drill Options:
A total of 6 product variants can be produced with these options. Product Variant The description or name of the code. Inventory On Hand The inventory on hand allocated to demand orders by means of specifications. LN updates the inventory on hand if items are received or issued. Note LN automatically updates the overall inventory on hand for each item throughout all warehouses. The overall inventory on hand is displayed in the Company - Item Inventory (whwmd4100m100) session. Inventory Blocked The inventory on hold allocated to demand orders by means of specifications. The allocated inventory is blocked, for example, for inbound inspections. If the inventory allocation level for the item and warehouse is physical item, the value in this field is updated by both manual blockings and blockings imposed by processes such as inbound inspections. If the inventory allocation level for the item and warehouse is warehouse, the value in this field is only updated by blockings imposed by processes. Note that the quantity in this field is decreased after the items are put away after inspection or are deleted after inspection or other adjustments. Inventory Blocked for Planning The allocated quantity excluded from planning by the Enterprise Planning package. The items exist but Enterprise Planning cannot regard the items as available inventory. Note that the quantity in this field is decreased after the items are put away after inspection or are deleted after inspection or other adjustments. Inventory Location Allocated Allocated-to inventory stored in the current warehouse for which outbound advice is present. This quantity is increased if a larger quantity is advised. When the outbound advice is released, this quantity is decreased with the shipped quantity. Inventory in Allocation Buffer Location Allocated The quantity included in an allocation buffer for which outbound advice is present, or which is blocked for outbound inspection. Note The field is displayed only when the Demand Pegging check box is selected in the Implemented Software Components (tccom0100s000) session. Inventory in Allocation Buffer The quantity in an allocation buffer, expressed in the inventory unit. Inventory Allocation Change on Order The quantity to be added to the to-specification using an allocation change order. Inventory Allocation Change Allocated The quantity to be subtracted from the unallocated inventory or the from- specification using an allocation change order. Calculated Inventory Economic Stock The inventory that is available to be sold. Actual Available Inventory The on hand allocated-to inventory not linked to outbound advice and not blocked. This inventory is available for outbound order lines with matching specification criteria. Actual Available Inventory for Planning The on hand allocated-to inventory that is not blocked for planning and for which no outbound advice is present. The Enterprise Planning package can regard this quantity as available inventory for demand orders with matching specification criteria. Calculated Inventory Economic Stock Inventory On Order The inventory on order for which a specification is present. Note LN automatically updates the overall inventory on order for each item throughout all warehouses. The overall inventory on order is displayed in the Company - Item Inventory (whwmd4100m100) session. Inventory Allocated Inventory that is allocated to a specification. The quantity in this field is increased when a demand order is created. Note that the quantity is increased when a demand order is created even if unsufficient inventory to fulfil the demand order is actually present. After the inventory is shipped, that is, has left the warehouse, the allocation is deleted.
