The kanban signal number.
Kanban signal numbers are based on the ID Mask field in the Warehouses (whwmd2500m000) session or the Warehouse Master Data Parameters (whwmd0100s000) session.
Kanban Signals (whwmd2111m000)Use this session to view and maintain kanban signals by warehouse and item. In this session, you can activate, deactivate, or close kanban signals. You can also delete closed kanban signals. To delete a closed kanban signal, select the signal and click the Delete option from the toolbar. Kanban signals are created for a warehouse and item combination by selecting the Add Signal option on the appropriate menu or by calculating or manually specifying the required number of signals in the Number of Signals field in the Item Data by Warehouse (whwmd2110s000) session. The Add Signal option is available if you select Sort by --> Warehouse, Item, Kanban Signal from the Views menu. The quantity of newly created signals or reactivated signals is updated in the current session and the Item Data by Warehouse (whwmd2110s000) session. Note
Kanban Signal ID The kanban signal number. Label Printed If this check box is selected, a label is printed for the kanban signal. Activated Manually If this check box is selected, the kanban signal is activated by the user. Signals are manually activated by:
Status The kanban signal status. Allowed values Warehouse A place for storing goods. For each warehouse, you can enter address data and data relating to its type. Item The raw materials, subassemblies, finished products, and tools that can be purchased, stored, manufactured, and sold. An item can also represent a set of items handled as one kit, or which exist in multiple product variants. You can also define nonphysical items, which are not retained in inventory but can be used to post costs or to invoice services to customers. The examples of nonphysical items:
Total Supply Quantity The aggregated supply quantity of the kanban signals used for the current warehouse and item. This quantity is retrieved from the Total Supply Quantity field in the Item Data by Warehouse (whwmd2110s000) session. The unit in which the Total Supply Quantity is expressed. Signal Supply Quantity The quantity supplied by the kanban signal. This quantity is specified in the Supply Quantity field in the Item Data by Warehouse (whwmd2110s000) session. Number of Signals The number of kanban signals for the item and warehouse with status Active or Inactive. Order The origin of the kanban supply order created for the kanban signal. The order number of the kanban supply order created for the kanban signal. The order line number of the kanban supply order created for the kanban signal.
Add Signal Add a signal to the current warehouse and item. The status of the new kanban signal is set to Active. If the Generate Kanban Order Automatically check box is selected in the Item Data by Warehouse (whwmd2110s000) session, a supply order is generated and displayed in the Order field. Note: This option is available if Sort by --> Warehouse, Item, Kanban Signal is selected from the appropriate menu. This enables you to see to see to which warehouse and item you must add a kanban signal. Orders by Kanban Signal Starts the Orders by Kanban Signal (whwmd2512m000) session in which the kanban supply orders for the kanban signals of the current warehouse and item are displayed.
