Multisite in Warehousing

In a multisite environment, a site is one of the key building blocks.

A company can include multiple sites.

You can link multiple warehouses and departments to a site. It is mandatory to link a warehouse to a site. A warehouse can be linked to one site.

Note

Sites are available if the Sites parameter is activated in the Implemented Software Components (tccom0100s000) session.

Warehousing and warehouse item settings on company, site, and warehouse level

If you use sites, warehouse data and warehousing-specific item data can be globally applicable for the entire company structure, or locally for specific sites or warehouses.

Data specified by company are applicable for all sites and warehouses of the company, unless adjusted for specific sites or warehouses.

Data specified by site apply to the warehouses linked to the site, unless adjusted for specific warehouses, and you can specify data for individual warehouses.

  • Inventory
  • Item issues by site and period
  • Inventory consumptions
  • Receipt transactions

The overviews display the aggregated data of the warehouses of each site specified in the overview.
