Order Controlled/Batch setup and order generationThe order controlled/batch supply system is applicable if:
Setup To enable supply to a shop floor warehouse using the Order Controlled/Batch supply system, you must define the following master data in the Item Data by Warehouse (whwmd2110s000) session:
Note You can only select the Order Controlled/Single supply system if the warehouse is of the type Normal or Shop Floor. Order generation When you use the Order Controlled/Batch supply system, supply orders are generated based on a trigger from the assembly line. In LN, you can specify that the supply of the goods required at a particular line station is started when a specific event happens at another (earlier) line station. A number of fixed assembly line events are defined by LN which can be used to trigger supply orders. You can indicate which supply orders must be triggered if one of those fixed events happens for an earlier line station. The quantity to be supplied by a supply order is determined based on the requirements of several assembly orders. Because triggers are temporarily stored before the actual supply orders are generated, all triggers for the same items for the same warehouses are combined in one supply order, regardless of the assembly orders. As a result, the amount to be supplied is the sum of all the goods resulting from the triggers that are created before a particular supply order is created. The above also implies that the supply orders are anonymous, which in turn implies Order Controlled/Batch.
