Planned Loads/Shipments (whinh4180m000)

Use this session to view and maintain the loads and shipments that are planned for specific warehousing orders.

The planned loads and planned shipments in the current session are either:

  • Generated by Freight
  • Manually created
  • Generated by Warehousing if one or more freight orders, but no Actual Freight load plan is present for warehousing order lines that obtain the Staged status. Warehousing generates loads, shipments, and shipment lines for the outbound order lines that obtain the Staged status. For further information about the outbound procedure, see The outbound procedure.

If planned loads or planned shipments are generated by Freight, LN uses the number groups and series as specified in the Freight Planning Parameters (fmlbd0100m000) session for numbering the planned loads and planned shipments.

Manually create loads and shipments

If you manually create planned loads and shipments in the current session:

  • LN uses the number groups and series as specified in the Inventory Handling Parameters (whinh0100m000) session for numbering the planned loads and planned shipments.
  • You can link warehousing order lines. If for a warehousing order line a freight order is generated, you will get a warning.
  • You can only link outbound order lines with a picked quantity of zero.
  • You can only link inbound order lines with a received quantity of zero.
  • You cannot manually link warehousing order lines to planned loads and shipments that are generated by Freight.
Modify loads and shipments

You can only modify loads and shipments with status Actual.

Delete loads and shipments

You cannot delete loads and shipments:

  • With status Confirmed or Shipped.
  • With a quantity received or a quantity picked of more than zero for statuses other than Confirmed or Shipped.
  • If the load or shipment is generated by Freight. Note that if in Freight, an Actual load plan is deleted, the corresponding loads and shipments in the current session are deleted as well.

If the warehousing order that is related to a planned load or shipment is deleted, you must also delete the planned load or shipment in the current session.

Note

To view the loading sequence of a shipment contained in a load, select the shipment, from the Search by menu, select Loading List. The load that contains the shipment and the loading sequence of the shipments of the load are displayed.

To generate loading lists, from the Print menu, select Loading List.

Order

The warehousing order's origin.

Order

The warehousing order that is linked to the planned load or shipment.

Order Line

The warehousing-order line that is linked to the planned load or shipment.

BOM Line

The BOM line that is linked to the planned load or shipment.

Sequence

The sequence number of the order line.

Load

The planned load to which the warehousing-order line is planned to be added.

If you manually create a planned load or shipment in the current session, LN generates the load number based on the Series as specified in the Inventory Handling Parameters (whinh0100m000) session.

Shipment

The planned shipment to which the warehousing-order line is planned to be added.

If you manually create a planned load or shipment in the current session, LN generates the shipment number based on:

  • The Series for Inbound as specified in the Inventory Handling Parameters (whinh0100m000) session, if it concerns an inbound shipment.
  • The Series for Outbound as specified in the Inventory Handling Parameters (whinh0100m000) session, if it concerns an outbound shipment.
Load Plan
General Data
Warehouse

The code of the warehouse.

Site

A business location of an enterprise that can maintain its own logistical data. It includes a collection of warehouses, departments and assembly lines at the same location. Sites are used to model the supply chain in a multisite environment.

These restrictions apply to sites:

  • A site cannot cross countries. The warehouses and departments of the site must be in the same country as the site.
  • A site is linked to one planning cluster. Consequently, all warehouses and work centers of a site must belong to the same planning cluster.
  • A site is linked to one logistic company.

You can link a site to an enterprise unit or an enterprise unit to a site.

If an enterprise unit is linked to a site, the entities of the site belong to the enterprise unit. Conversely, if a site is linked to an enterprise unit, the entities of the enterprise unit belong to the site.

Loading Date

The date on which the outbound shipment is:

  • Planned to be loaded if the planned shipment is not yet confirmed. In this case, the loading date replaces the planned delivery date of the warehousing-order line.
  • Actually loaded if the planned shipment is confirmed.
Unloading Date

The date on which the inbound shipment is:

  • Planned to be unloaded if the planned shipment is not yet received. In this case, the unloading date replaces the planned receipt date of the warehousing-order line.
  • Actually unloaded if the planned shipment is received.
Reason

The reason why the change of the load plan was required.

You can only specify a reason of the Load Plan Deviation type.

Quantity/Weight
Planned Quantity

The quantity that is planned to be shipped for the combination of load and shipment.

In Process Quantity

The quantity for which an outbound advice is generated if the outbound advice is generated using the load plan.

Shipped Quantity

The quantity that is actually shipped for the planned load or shipment.

Delivered Quantity

The quantity that is actually delivered for the planned load or shipment.

Unit

The unit of measure in which the inventory of an item is recorded, such as piece, kilogram, box of 12, or meter.

The inventory unit is also used as the base unit in measure conversions, especially for conversions that concern the order unit and the price unit on a purchase order or a sales order. These conversions always use the inventory unit as the base unit. An inventory unit therefore applies to all item types, also to item types that cannot be kept in stock.

Gross Weight

The actual gross weight of the shipped goods.

LN determines the actual gross weight when the shipment or receipt is confirmed.

Gross Weight Unit

The unit in which the actual gross weight is expressed.

LN retrieves the weight unit from the Gross Weight field in the Shipment Lines (whinh4131m000) session.

Shipment Information
Pick-up Carrier/ LSP

The carrier that transports the goods of the load.

If the load is created by Freight, the carrier is selected by load building. If the load is created by Warehousing, the carrier is specified manually or defaulted from the originating warehousing order.

For inbound loads, the carrier is a delivery carrier. For outbound loads, the carrier is a pick-up carrier.

Shipment Procedure

The shipment procedure to be carried out for the planned shipment.

The shipment procedure in the current field replaces the shipment procedure as specified for the warehousing-order type that is linked to the warehousing order.

Staging Location

The staging location for the planned shipment.

LN only uses the staging location if the outbound advice is generated using the load plan.

Carrier Tracking Number

The number given by the carrier to identify the load or shipment. The carrier uses this number for tracking purposes.

Tracking Number

The shipment tracking number provided by transportation providers. For example, an Airway Bill Number.

Note

In case of WMS integrations, this value is defaulted through scanning devices.

Status
Created By

The LN package by which the planned load or shipment is created.

Status

The planned load or shipment status.

FM Leading Load Plan

If this check box is selected, Freight leads the load plan. All changes on the load plan are verified with Freight.

If this check box is cleared, Warehousing can change the load plan without verification with Freight.

Note

This check box is selected only if the order is generated by Freight.

Delivery Information
Delivery Carrier/ LSP

The carrier that transports the goods of the load.

If the load is created by Freight, the carrier is selected by load building. If the load is created by Warehousing, the carrier is specified manually or defaulted from the originating warehousing order.

For inbound loads, the carrier is a delivery carrier. For outbound loads, the carrier is a pick-up carrier.
