Overview of the Microsoft Windows Performance
Monitor LN publishes LN-specific performance indicators in the Microsoft Windows Performance Monitor, which is a graphical tool that you can use to measure the performance of your local computer and network computers. With the Microsoft Windows Performance Monitor, you can view the behavior of objects, such as processors, memory, cache, threads, and processes. Each of these objects has an associated set of counters that provide information about device usage, queue lengths, delays, and information used to measure throughput and internal congestion. The Microsoft Windows Performance Monitor provides charting, alerting, and reporting capabilities that reflect both current activity and ongoing logging. The following list gives an overview of how you can use the Microsoft Windows Performance Monitor to view the performance of objects:
LN-specific performance counters LN publishes the following LN-specific performance counters in the Microsoft Windows Performance Monitor. LN Environment Counters:
LN System Counters:
You can view these performance counters in charts. You can also use the Microsoft Windows Performance Monitor to create alerts that are started if an LN specific performance counter exceeds a predefined limit. For example, if more than 100 LN users are logged in an LN environment, an alert can be triggered to inform the LN system administrator. To use the Microsoft Performance Monitor for LN You can use the Microsoft Performance Monitor to do the following:
