The code of the LN user.
Remote User Data (ttaad2501m000)Use this session to maintain or display the remote users. A remote user file is required if the user must work with distributed application servers: 1 master application server, 1 or more application servers. A remote user file is used to make the connection to the remote system for a specific user. For example, the user starts Tools from an application server with the master application server located at another system. To make this possible, the remote user file must be created on the application server. To create the remote user file in Tools, select Convert Changes to Runtime DD on the appropriate menu. Note If you have started this session by zooming, you can only find and select a record.
User The code of the LN user. System Name The host name of the remote system to which the user connects. The system name must have been defined in the Systems (ttaad0550m000) session. BSE Path The BSE path of the specified host system. Protocol The communication protocol that is used. Allowed values
Portnumber Related port number of the chosen protocol. For the Rexec protocol only port 512 is allowed. Current Password The user's current password to log on to the remote system. New Password The user's new password to log on to the remote system. Note If the user's operating system password was changed through the Change Password (ttstpchangepw) session, the corresponding Remote User Data password is updated automatically. Therefore, skip this field. If the user's operating system password was changed in a different way, specify the new password in this field. Confirm New Password Specify the new password again. The two entries of the new password must match. Login as Different User If this check box is selected, it is possible to use the system logon of another user to connect to a remote system. In that case a user file of the user, for whom you are creating the remote user file, must exist on the remote system. The user file must contain the entry: unixuser:<another user>. Example User john wants to use the login of user peter on the remote system B. You can use this session to create a remote user file rjohn on system A. On the remote system B there must be a user file ujohn in, $BSE/lib/user, with the entry: unixuser:peter. User on Remote System The logon code of the other user on the remote system that is used by the user. System Authorization of Remote User If this check box is selected, you use the UNIX permissions that are defined for that user. This has only effect if the owner of the file ipc_boot6.2 has UNIX permission root and the s-bit is set. Note This method is not advisable for security reasons. Infor LN Authorization of Remote User If this check box is selected, the user will use the authorizations for Tools defined for the remote user.
Convert Changes to Runtime DD Starts the Convert Changes to Runtime DD (ttams2200m000) session. Select the Remote Users check box and click Convert to Runtime to convert the user-data template to LN ’s run-time data dictionary. Click Close after the conversion process is complete. The Remote User Data (ttaad2501m000) session reappears. To apply the new settings, the relevant users must log off and log on again.
