The attribute of an activity that is used to group the
activity. Most attributes refer to a property of an activity or the related
order header, e.g. attribute service area (property of an activity) or order
number (property of the order header). However, attributes may also refer to
properties that are assigned to an activity or order header, e.g. attribute
skills (the skills that are assigned to an activity).
All activities with the same value for a given attribute are
grouped into the same group (parallel attributes) or activity set (sequential
attributes). Example:
when service area is used as group attribute, all activities with the same
service area are grouped into one group or activity set.
Note
- Two or more values may be defined for one attribute.
Example: two or more engineers may be assigned to one service order. Only when
the number and the values of all assigned engineers match an activity is
assigned to a group or activity set.
- Keep in mind only a subset of all available attributes is
valid for each activity origin.
