Using templates

Templates provide a user-friendly way to create and maintain data. To reuse the project data, you must define the project as a template. Note: If a project is used as a template, it cannot be used for actual projects. It can be used only to copy the project data.

Step 1. 

Select the Template check box for the relevant project in the Projects (tppdm6100m000) session.

Step 2. 

Select the Save as Template option to start the Save as Template (tppdm7840m000) session. This session allows you to copy the project data, from a Source Project to a Target Project that can be used as a template. LN checks the Template field in the target project.

Step 3. 

Select the Copy Project option to start the Create Project from Template (tppdm7840m000) session. This session allows you to copy the project data from a Source Project, defined as a template, to a Target Project.

Note:

The Copy option is enabled only when you specify the Project.

The Copy Estimate to Project check box is disabled.
