Site A business location of an enterprise that can maintain its own logistical data. It includes a collection of warehouses, departments and assembly lines at the same location. Sites are used to model the supply chain in a multisite environment. These restrictions apply to sites:
You can link a site to an enterprise unit or an enterprise unit to a site. If an enterprise unit is linked to a site, the entities of the site belong to the enterprise unit. Conversely, if a site is linked to an enterprise unit, the entities of the enterprise unit belong to the site. Production Order Group A collection of planned production orders, which you can use as a selection criterion to transfer planned production orders from Enterprise Planning to the Job Shop Control module of Manufacturing. JSC can use the same collection of production orders to organize manufacturing tasks. Production Order An order to produce a specified quantity of an item on a specified delivery date. Project (PCS) A collection of manufacturing and purchasing actions that are performed for a particular customer order. A project is initiated to plan and coordinate the production of the to be manufactured items. For a standard-to-order production, the project is only used to link the item with the customer order. A project can also include these:
Production Start Date and Time The start date and time of the production order. Planner The employee or department responsible for planning the production, purchase and distribution of items. The planner takes into account the inventory levels, availability of materials, and capacities of resources, and reacts on signals such as rescheduling messages that LN generates. Shop Floor Planner The person responsible for printing, (re)scheduling and releasing production orders and managing workloads. Options Check Determines what kind of check this session performs. Allowed values Scope Determines from which warehouses LN takes the available inventory into account. Allowed values
If the Check field is Multilevel, this field is Planned Warehouses in Planning Cluster and cannot be changed. Skip Blocked Inventory If this check box is selected, LN does not take the inventory that is blocked into account for analyzing the production orders' material supply. Inventory can be blocked for inspection or for other reasons. Select this check box if you expect the material quality to be poor. If the Check field is Multilevel, this check box is automatically set the same as the Inventory In Inspection Available for Planning check box in the Inventory Handling Parameters (whinh0100m000) session and cannot be changed. Critical Items Only If this check box is selected, LN checks only the materials for which the Critical for Inventory check box in the Item - Production (tiipd0101m000) session is selected. Note If you check multilevel, and a material that is not critical has lower-level materials that are critical, LN will check these lower-level materials.
