Production Models (tirpt2100m000)

Use this session to view and maintain production models, lists of material, and production process.

Note

If the production model is multi-product, a list of products must be defined.

Site

The site ID.

Only visible if multisite functionality is active.

Related topics

Product

The end item defined in the production model.

Work Cell

A production unit consisting of one or more work stations in a fixed sequence.

A work cell is used in repetitive manufacturing for the production of a repetitive item.

Production Model

A predefined configuration used in repetitive manufacturing that specifies the production method, list of materials, time and capacity required and reporting method.

A production model contains the following:

  • Production process
  • Time and capacity required
  • Production process reporting
  • Materials supply process
  • Item inspection method
  • Required tools

If the Multi-Product Production check box on a production model is selected, a list of products is added to the production model that specifies which items are produced.

Note
  • Production models are revision controlled. A new revision is generated for every change to the existing configuration.
  • The order system must be Planned.
  • Project Control is disabled.

Related topics

Production Model Revision

The ID of the product model revision.

Production Model Status

The status of the production model that is printed.

Allowed values

  • New
  • Approved
  • Expired

Production Model Used for Planning

If this check box is selected, the production model is enabled for planning.

Note

Only one production model for each repetitive item can be used for planning.

Production Model Used for Costing

If this check box is selected, the production model is enabled for costing.

Note

Only one production model for each repetitive item can be used for costing.

Production Model Type

Allowed values

Schedule Type

Tool

The main tool specified in the production model that is used for reporting in case of a multi-product.

Effective Date

The date on which the validity of the materials or the operations is checked.

The application considers a material or operation to be valid, if this date is within the effective date and the expiry date range.

The effective dates are used in the explosion process to create demands for the correct items.

Expiry Date

The date from which a record or a setting is no longer valid. The expiry date often includes the expiry time.

Order Plan Quantity

The planned quantity of the production order.

Order Plan Lead Time

The planned order lead time.

Schedule Line Quantity

The quantity assigned to the scheduled line.

Minimum Run

The minimal quantity to start the repetitive production run.

Optimal Run

The optimal quantity for a repetitive production run.

Maximum Run

The maximum quantity to start the repetitive production run.

Transfer Quantity

The quantity of materials that must be transferred to the point of usage warehouse, from the external supplier or warehouse.

Receiving Warehouse

The ID of the warehouse in which the repetitive items are stored.

# Labor Resources

The number of operators required for production.

Rate

The rate based on a man hour or machine hour.

Use for Planning

If this check box is selected, the selected production model is used for planning.

Note: Only one production model for each repetitive item can be used for planning.

Use for Costing

If this check box is selected, the selected production model is used for standard cost calculations.

Note: Only one production model for each repetitive item can be used for costing.
