A document can be linked to bill of material (BOM) lines, production items, or production order headers, among other objects. The documents attached to the object documentation can provide important information such as instructions for job shop operators about how to work with the object. Note: If multisite is activated for the company for which you are managing documents, documents are linked to a bill of material for an item on site level. Inheriting document links If you link a document to an object, you can view, edit, and print the files attached to the document throughout the object's life cycle. When you link a document to a production item, you can access the document when the item is used in a bill of material (BOM) because it has inherited the production item's document. The documents and document links can be copied to and pasted from other LN packages during the execution of the business process. You can specify and update new related objects in the Related Objects (dmsys1113m000) session. If you linked a document to an object and you want to view or edit while the item is used in a BOM:
