To change the priority of an alternative material, select the alternative-material line and click Move Priority Up or Move Priority Down

Note

This session is only applicable if the Job Shop by Site parameter in the Implemented Software Components (tccom0100s000) session is set to Inactive.

Main Item

The main item of which you want to maintain the use-up item or the alternative items.

BOM Position

The component's BOM position number.

Sequence Number

The BOM sequence number is a subdivision of the component item's BOM position number.

Material

The component item that is part of the manufactured item (the standard material).

Alternative

Identification of the alternative-material record.

Alternative Priority

The priority based on which the alterative material usage is determined. LN considers the alternatives based on specified priority.

Allowed values

  • Use up
This material is an outdated material ( use-up material) that must first be used up.
  • 1
The alternative that will be selected if the inventory of the standard material, and the use-up material, if any, is insufficient.
  • 2
The alternative that will be selected if the inventory of the standard material and the first alternative material, and the use-up material, if any, is insufficient.
  • 3, 4, 5, ...
    Lower priority alternative materials.
  • 9
    The lowest priority alternative material.
Alternative Material

The alternative material.

Allowed values

If the item is a project item, the project must be equal to the project of the main item.

First Allowed Order Date

The value of the First Allowed Order Date field in the Item - Ordering (tcibd2100m000) session or the field of the same name in the Item Data by Warehouse (whwmd2510m000) session, whichever is effective.

The setting of the Use Item Ordering Data field in the Item Data by Warehouse (whwmd2510m000) session determines whether you define this parameter for all warehouses or for a specific warehouse.

If the Use Item Ordering Data check box is selected, you use the general value of the First Allowed Order Date field. Otherwise, you can specify a warehouse-specific value in the First Allowed Order Date field.

LN checks the first allowed order date for the warehouse that is linked to the BOM line.

Last Allowed Order Date

The value of the Last allowed Order Date field in the Item - Ordering (tcibd2100m000) session or the field of the same name in the Item Data by Warehouse (whwmd2510m000) session, whichever is effective.

This information is visible only for use-up materials, not for lower-priority alternative materials.
