Line Station Variant - Operations (tiasc2122m000)

Use this session to view and add or modify the operations associated with a line-station variant.

Note

General
Line Station Variant

Holds identical operations and materials that are used at a specific line station for multiple assembly orders. In this manner, the identical operations and materials are stored only once, rather than for each assembly order. When line station variants are used, less data storage is required, and the performance is enhanced.

Example

You produce cars with various features, including two types of wheels: broad and narrow. In the wheel line station, in which the wheels are fitted, all cars with broad wheels are one line station variant, and cars with narrow wheels are another line station variant, regardless of any other specifications, because the other specifications are not relevant to the wheel line station.

Station

The line station for which the LSV applies.

For Order

If the LSV is order-specific, this field displays for which order the LSV is made specific.

Note

This field is only displayed if the selected LSV is order-specific.

Process

This field is not in use. It is reserved for functionality that is not yet available.

Operation

The operation linked to the LSV.

Work Team
Work Team

The team of employees who carry out the operation.

Work Location

Specify the location where work takes place.

Execution Sequence

The order in which the operations must be carried out.

Work Skill

The code of the skill or certification that is required for the employee who performs the operation.

Operation
Task

An activity to manufacture or repair an item. For example, sawing, drilling, or painting.

A task is carried out on a work center, and can be related to a machine.

Cycle Time

In LN, the time between completion of two separate units of production. For example, the cycle time of motors assembled at a rate of 120 per hour is 30 seconds.

The cycle time is also equal to the time that a product stays in one position on a assembly line, or the time that an operation is carried out on an item in a work station (excluding setup time).

Cycle Time Unit

Hours, minutes or seconds

Man Occupation

The number of people needed to carry out the operation.

This value is retrieved from the line station assignment in Line Assembly Control (LAC). This information is only used in order-based transaction processing. In line-station-based transaction processing, the man occupation is taken from the line-station-level assignment.

Machine Occupation

The number of machines needed to carry out the operation.

This value is retrieved from the line station assignment in Line Assembly Control (LAC). This information is only used in order-based transaction processing. In line-station-based transaction processing, the machine occupation is taken from the line station level assignment.

If this check box is selected, an instruction text is present.

Options
Print Operation Description

If this check box is selected, the operation description is printed.

Print Instructions

If this check box is selected, the operation instructions are printed.

Initial Hidden
OriginalOperation

If this check box is selected, the operation has not been altered.

If this check box is cleared, one of the fields of the assembly operation has been changed. You can only do this if the LSV is order-specific.

This check box is used to determine the printing result. When originals must be printed, the operations for which this check box is selected are printed. When differences must be printed, the operations for which this check box is cleared are printed.
