You can only start the current session if your current company is defined as master company in the Assembly Planning Parameters (tiapl0500m000) session.

Update Segment Schedules

If this check box is selected, the segment schedules are updated before the assembly part requirements are calculated.

If this check box is cleared, the segment schedules are only updated if a change is detected that affects the segment schedules. However, not all changes can be detected automatically.

As a result, select this check box in the following cases:

  • The line structure is changed.
  • The plan period definition of the current scenario is changed, while the reference date is unchanged.

Update Plan Items

If this check box is selected, the plan items for the assembly parts are updated again.

Note

In the Manufacturing package, an assembly part (which is of item type Manufactured or Purchased) have item code with a project and item segment; where as in the Enterprise Planning package, the planned item has an item code with cluster, project and item segment.

Hence, for each assembly part you must update the plan item, based on the item code of the assembly part and the cluster of the shop floor warehouse, which is again linked to the same line station where the assembly part is to be used.

Select this check box in the following cases:

  • When the clusters for shop floor warehouses of line stations are modified.
  • When the shop floor warehouses with other clusters are linked to line stations.

If this check box is cleared, the assembly part demand for the wrong plan items are sent to the Enterprise Planning package.
