Group Company Parameters (tfgld0101s000)Use this session to define the parameters for the group company. The parameters include data applicable to all underlying companies, such as the descriptions of the dimensions, the number of fiscal periods, and the multi-company structure.
Effective Date The effective date/time for which you want to view or maintain the group-company parameters. Description The description of the parameter set. General Name The name of the company. Company Data Country The country. Reference Currency The reference currency of the group company. Short Description of Currency A brief description of the reference currency. Base Company The base company applies only to intergroup transactions. Transactions between companies belonging to two different groups, are recorded temporarily in the base company. These transactions are generated as nonfinalized transactions in the Post Intergroup Transactions (tfgld2201m000) session. Base Company The name of the company. Store Data for X Years The number of years the group of companies retains the detailed financial data, before the data can be archived. Dimension Types Dimension If this check box is selected, all financial companies linked to the group company use this dimension type. Periods Number of Periods Reporting Periods If this check box is selected, you can use different number of reporting periods within a year. Number of Fiscal Periods The number of periods used by the companies of this group to record financial transactions. Number of Reporting Periods The number of periods used by the companies of this group for reporting purposes. Number of Tax Periods The number of periods for which the companies of this group must submit a sales/purchase tax return. Period Separator The character that separates year and the period. Concepts Cash Flow Statement To generate and print a cash flow statement in one or more of the companies of the group, select this check box. Important! If you are upgrading from a previous LN version, ensure to run the Update Cash Flow Transactions (tfcmg9200m000) session. Performance aspects The setting of this field could affect system performance and database growth. For more information, refer to Unused concepts in Cash Management. Detailed Cash Flow Information If this check box is selected, detailed cash flow information can be reported. Payment Agreement To use payment agreements, select this check box. Monthly Billing Invoices To generate monthly billing invoices, select this check box. Performance aspects The setting of this field could affect system performance and database growth. For more information, refer to Unused concepts in Invoicing. Segment Reporting To use segment reporting, select this check box. Note This check box is only available if - for each company in the group- in the Finance Company Parameters (tfgld0503m000) session, Copy Interperiod Dimensions from Original Transactions parameter must be set. Prevent Intercompany Transactions by Segment If this check box is selected,, the Intercompany transaction in source and target company can have Segment value from the intercompany relations. If this check box is cleared, the intercompany transactions are created by Segment. The Segment values for the target company are derived from the intercompany trade line and the Segment values for the source company are derived from the intercompany relations. Note This check box is only available, if the Segment Reporting check box is selected. Prevent Bank Transactions by Segment If this check box is selected, the Bank transaction can have Segment value from the cash transaction type. If this check box is cleared, the Bank transactions are created by Segment and the Segment values are derived from entities, such as AP Open Entry. Note This check box is available only if the Segment Reporting check box is selected.
