Budgets (tdsta2603m000)

Use this session to enter and maintain sales and purchase budgets.

Note
  • If you create a new budget, you must first select a sort code. This choice will narrow down the data you can use in your budget. You can use the sort attributes as displayed in the Statistic Sorts (tdsta1600m000) session.
  • The Total Budget Quantities and Total Budget Amounts are automatically calculated when detailed numbers are defined for the budget in the Absolute Figures (tdsta2100m000) session. However, you can also change the total quantities/amounts. If you change these total quantities/amounts, LN distributes them over the various budget periods in the Absolute Figures (tdsta2100m000) session, based on the percentages in the Budget Percentages (tdsta2104m000) session.
Budget lines

The lines on the tabs refer to the following sessions:

  • Selection
    The lines on the Selection tab refer to the Budget Selection (tdsta2102m000) session. On this tab, you can select the sort attribute (field) data for which the budget is defined.
  • Absolute Figures
    The lines on the Absolute Figures tab refer to the Absolute Figures (tdsta2100m000) session. On this tab, you can create or display a budget in absolute figures.
  • Percentages
    The lines on the Percentages tab refer to the Budget Percentages (tdsta2104m000) session. On this tab, you can you can create or display a budget in terms of percentages.

Sort

The sort code for which the budget is defined. The sort determines what attributes (fields) are accessible.

Module

The budget can be a sales budget or a purchase budget.

Year

The statistical year for which the budget is recorded.

Quantity in Inventory Unit

The total expected quantity to be purchased, expressed in the inventory unit.

Quantity in Order Unit

The total expected quantity to be purchased, expressed in the purchase unit.

Quantity in Price Unit

The total expected quantity to be purchased, expressed in the price unit.

Weight

The total expected weight of the item, which is multiplied with the quantity to be purchased.

Quantity in Inventory Unit

The total expected quantity to be sold, expressed in the inventory unit.

Quantity in Order Unit

The total expected quantity to be sold, expressed in the sales unit.

Quantity in Price Unit

The total expected quantity to be sold, expressed in the price unit.

Weight

The total expected weight of the item, which is multiplied with the quantity to be sold.

Amount

The total net amount budgeted for the specific period.

Currency

The currency in which the total amounts are expressed.

Discount Amount

The total amount of discounts that is expected to accrue during the period.

Standard Cost

The total standard cost that is budgeted to accrue during the period.

Amount

The total net amount budgeted for the specific period

Discount Amount

The total amount of discounts that is expected to accrue during the period.

Commission Amount

The total amount of commissions that is expected to accrue during the period.

Rebate Amount

The total amount of rebates that is expected to accrue during the period.

Cost of Goods Sold

The total cost of goods sold that is budgeted to accrue during the period.

Variable Cost

The total amount of variable costs that is budgeted to accrue during the period.

Fixed Cost

The total amount of fixed costs that is budgeted to accrue during the period.
