Statistic Sorts (tdsta1600m000)

Use this session to:

  • Enter and maintain statistics sort codes.
  • Indicate the type of statistical information that must be kept for the sort and indicate whether budgets are allowed for the sort.
  • Select the sort attributes (fields) that are used to sort data in statistics reports and overviews.

The lines on the Statistics Sort Sequences tab refer to the Statistics Sort Sequences (tdsta1101m000) session. On this tab, you can enter and view the sort atrributes that are linked to the statistics sort and group them in a sequence. Sort attributes are fields that are used to sort data in statistics reports and overviews. They identify specific sequences of a selection of the level attributes, as entered in the Statistics Level (tdsta0601m000) session and as selected in the Statistics Parameters (tdsta0100m000) session.

Note

If sequences are define for a sort, you can no longer change the sort. However, you can maintain the sequences for the sort. If a sort is active, you cannot change the sort, nor its sequences.

Example

A company wants to view its sales statistics in some cases by country, business partner, and item, and other times it wants to see the data only by item. When looking at its statistical data, the company wants to compare its budget to the turnover. For that purpose, a sort code is created with a sort sequence listing country, business partner, and item and another sort code is created for which the sort sequence is just item. In both sort codes, the Sales Budgets and Sales Turnover check boxes are selected.
