| General Projects (tcmcs0152s000) Use this session to maintain the project details. Project An endeavour with a special objective to be met within the
prescribed time and money limitations and that has been assigned for definition
or execution. If the Check Project Code in Item Code check box is selected in the Item Base Data Parameters (tcibd9199m000) session, you cannot define projects of
which the project name equals the first characters of an existing item name in LN. General Description I The description or name of the code. You can enter a long name or a long
description by using two or more description fields. Note The text in the Description I and Description II fields is the default value of the
corresponding search key fields. Search Key I An alternative form of a description used for convenience
during searching. Typically, it is an abbreviation, an acronym, or a mnemonic
alternative to a full description. Options In-Service If this check box is selected, customized items can be
handled after the project has been closed. Customized items that are in the
usage/service stage of their life cycles, can be moved in inventory. The
inventory movements are initiated in depot repair ( Maintenance Sales Control, Work Control System),
that is, customized items can be returned to the service company as owned
inventory, and at a later stage, issued again for depot repair. Note This check box is only available if both of the
following applies: - Project Package Link reads Project (PCS).
- The PCS project status is Closed.
Important! - Closed projects cannot be reopened if the In-Service check box is selected. To reopen a closed project, this check
box must be cleared.
- You can only clear this check box if no maintenance sales
order or work order exists for the item.
Information Text If this check box is selected, a text is present. Project Package Link The package in which the project is used. If you create a new general project, LN sets this field to Not Used. If you define the project further in Project, LN sets this field to Project. If you define the project further in the Project Control module in Manufacturing, LN sets this field to Project (PCS). | |
