Seasonal patterns define the fluctuation of certain values, such as the expected usage or demand of an item in the course of a year. These values serve as parameters in forecast and advice.
Seasonal Pattern Factors (tcmcs0117m000)Use this session to indicate, for example, how the demand or the safety stock deviates from the standard during each seasonal-pattern period. This information is used in forecast and advice functions. Example If the period type of the seasonal pattern = month and the number of periods = 3 then you can specify a seasonal factor for 12/3 = 4 periods. If period type = week and number of periods = 4 then you can specify a seasonal factor for 52/4 = 13 periods.
Seasonal Pattern Seasonal patterns define the fluctuation of certain values, such as the expected usage or demand of an item in the course of a year. These values serve as parameters in forecast and advice. Period The period number. Note Do not define factors for more periods than defined for the seasonal pattern. Seasonal Factor Indicates the deviation from the standard quantity. The quantity on demand, in stock, and so on, during a specific period of the seasonal pattern is the standard quantity multiplied by the seasonal factor for the period. This information is used for forecast and advice. If the quantity for this period is normal, the factor is 1.0. If the quantity for this period is more than the standard quantity, the factor is >1.0. If the quantity for this period is less than the standard quantity, the factor is <1.0.
