Troubleshooting during installation and configuration

If there are any issues during the installation process, remove the installed components before re-installing the BI.

The list of components that must be removed:

  1. In the OLAP database, delete the QMANALYTICS folder in C:\Users\Public\Documents\Infor\BI\OLAP\Data\QMANALYTICS.
  2. In the Repository Administration, delete Repository Registrations:
    • Go to Start > All Programs > Infor 10 ION Business Intelligence > Repository Administration.
    • Expand Repository Registrations.
    • Right-click QM_Repository.
    • Click Delete Registration.
  3. In the Repository Database, delete the MS SQL database QMANALYTICS.
Unable to view reports from Webservices?

If you encounter an error with connection, execute the following steps to fix the error:

  1. Go to Start > All Programs > Infor 10 ION Business Intelligence > Application Studio
  2. After starting the Application studio, connect to QM_Repository, BV_QM_Project and BV_QM_ReportCatalog.
  3. If the same error as the above displayed, Click Skip.
  4. QM Reports report is displayed in the View Report Mode. On the Left Pane, you can view the Database Structure in Repository Explorer.
  5. You can view QMANALYTICS Database Alias.
  6. Right click on QMANALYTICS Database Alias and select Edit. The Edit Database Alias dialog is generated. On the Database tab, you can view Server and Database details.
  7. The Server name is based on the server name defined by the user where QMAnalytics is installed.
  8. For the Database you must make sure that the correct OLAP database (QMAnalytics) is selected from dropdown (see screenshot).
  9. Click Test Connection.
  10. Click OK.
