To use the journal book

If you use the journal book functionality, the following rules apply:

• The transaction entry dates of newly created transactions must be between a start date and the expiry date of the related journal book section. If the expiry date is blank, the transaction entry dates must be later than the start date.
• You cannot create integration transactions if the journal book section linked to the transaction type has been finally printed or the journal book summary has already been printed for the transaction entry date.
• If the journal book section status is Wydrukowane, the transaction entry date of newly created transactions must be later than the last transaction entry date in the journal section report.
• Exchange gain and loss is included in the journal book if both sides of the integration transaction are included in the journal book, independent of the selection of the Uwzględnij w księdze dziennika check box of the Ustawowe konto zysków/strat kursowych defined in the Parametry firmy (tfgld0503m000) session.

The journal book procedure consists of the following steps:

1. Generate and print the journal book sections
   You can generate and print the journal book sections in the Wydruk księgi dziennika (tfgld5410m000) session. For details, refer to To print the journal book.
2. Generate and print the journal book summary
   If all the journal book sections have the Wydrukowane status, you can use the Wydruk księgi dziennika (tfgld5410m000) session to print the journal book summary. You can also use this session to reprint finally printed journal book reports, if required.
3. View the journal book

   In the Księgi dziennika (tfgld5510m000) session, you can view the generated journal book sections and journal book summary, as well as the journal book transactions.

   In addition, on the odpowiednim menu, you can click Ponów wydruk księgi dziennika - wielofirmowy to print already generated journal books for a range of financial companies.

4. Archive and/or delete the journal book data

   After submission of the journal book to the authorities, you can use the Archiwizacja / Usuwanie dzienników (tfgld5212m000) to archive and/or delete the journal book data. You can only archive and/or delete journal book sections that have the status Zbiorcze wydrukowane.

   If you run this session, LN clears the Journal Book Transactions (tfgld511) and the Journal Book Summaries (tfgld512) tables. The Journal Books (tfgld510) table is not cleared because the data in this table is required for the period range sequence control.
