Componenti

The following sections explain how you can set up a component release for use while modeling activities and support applications.

A component release is, for example, Baan IVc. You would model this component release as component ERP and component release IVc. All ERP sessions are inserted in this component as applications.

To define a component release

  • Start the Componenti (tgbrg5157m000) session.
  • Click the New button.
  • Define the detailed information of the component release. Refer to the field help for more information.
  • Click Save and then Close.
To define the running ERP component release

If you have modeled a component release, you can make this the running ERP component release. This means that from that moment on all modeling operations by default will work with this running ERP component release.

For example, if you model a business process activity that starts an application, the information of the running ERP component release is already entered.

To define the applications of a component

Note
  • You can start the main applications through the Run Application command.
  • Only main applications can be linked to an activity of type application in a business process.

Click Save and then Close.

To define the subapplications of an application

Through subapplications, you can define the applications that can be started through a main application that is the highest level in the application tree. The subapplications in an ERP session are, for example, the sessions you can start through the Visualizzazioni, Riferimenti o Azioni and Print menu. For each of the subapplications, you can define the authorization.

  • Select a main application for which you want to define the subapplications. The first level in the tree of applications must be a main application because only main applications can be started independently.
  • On the Visualizzazioni, Riferimenti o Azioni menu, click the Subapplications by application command.
  • Select the subapplication to link to the application in the hierarchy above.
