Connect Components to PMC Solution (ttpmc1221m000)Use this session to connect software components present in the export VRC to a PMC solution. The session contains these tabs:
Environment Base VRC A means in PMC to identify products in a unique way. Updates at
the distributor side are provided with the base VRC identifier. A base VRC can
contain the code of the physical VRC in which the related master product is
installed, for example, B61_a, but can also be a code not related to a physical
VRC, for example, 7.6_a_tt. At the recipient side, every update VRC is linked
to a base VRC identifier. The installation process checks if the base VRC
identifier of the update matches with the base VRC identifier of the update
VRC. If not, you cannot install the update in that update VRC. Solution Code Specify an existing solution code or zoom to the Solutions (ttpmc1100m000) session to select a solution. The code identifies the
solution to which the components are connected. Nota If the following conditions are met, the last character of the solution code must be numeric, for example, SOL003.
Options Max. Number of Components Specify the maximum number of components that can be
connected to the solution. This option is available because a large number of components can cause problems at the recipient side. In that case, the components must be distributed over several solutions. Nota If the specified number is zero, no limitation applies. What to do when Max. Number is Exceeded Specify how the process must proceed if the maximum number
of components specified in the Max. Number of Components field is exceeded for the current
solution. Various choices of what to do if the maximum number of components is exceeded The following values specify how the process of linking components to a solution is continued if the specified maximum number of components is exceeded.
Language-dependent Components only If this check box is selected, only language-dependent
components are linked to the solution. As a result, these language-independent components are excluded :
This option is particularly useful for solutions that serve translation purposes. Selection of components The user can select one of these choices:
Basic Selection Package A set of related modules that implements a complete part of the
functionality, for example, Planificación Empresarial, Finanzas, or Gestión de almacenes.
Packages are designed to function as independent as possible, to enable a
customer to implement only particular packages. A package code consists of two characters. For example, tt is the code of the Tools package. Each package has a unique version structure, the VRC structure. Language A code that identifies the language. Source Export VRC If this check box is selected, the components that are
present in the export VRC of the specified base VRC are all linked to the solution. Use the options on the Selection tab to select or exclude component types and ranges. Other Solution If this check box is selected, you can specify a
solution whose component list will be used to link components to your current
solution. Use the options on the Selection tab to select or exclude component types and ranges. This option is helpful if you want to deliver a solution whose components are (almost) the same as that of another solution. Base VRC A means in PMC to identify products in a unique way. Updates at
the distributor side are provided with the base VRC identifier.
Solution The solution number of the solution whose component list
you want to use for your current solution. Specify a solution code or zoom to the Solutions (ttpmc1100m000) session to select a solution. Patch If this check box is selected, you can specify a patch whose component list will be used to link components to your current
solution. Use the options on the Selection tab to select or exclude component types and ranges. This option is helpful if you want to deliver a solution whose components are (nearly) the same as that of a patch, for example, software translations. Base VRC A means in PMC to identify products in a unique way. Updates at

identifier of the update matches with the base VRC identifier of the update

solution. Specify a patch code or zoom to the Patches (ttpmc1501m000) session to select a patch. Sequential File If this check box is selected, you can specify a
sequential file name whose records specify the components that will be linked
to the solution. Use the options on the Selection tab to select or exclude component types and ranges. The records in the file must have this format:
Cust. Admin. If this check box is selected, you can specify a
customization project whose component list will be used to link components to
your current solution. Use the options on the Selection tab to select or exclude component types and ranges. Project Specify a project code or zoom to the Projects (ttadv1170m000) session to select a project. Project Part Specify a project part code or zoom to the Customization Parts by Project (ttadv1175m000) session to select a project part. Customization Part Specify a customization part code or zoom to the Customization Parts by Project (ttadv1175m000) session to select a customization
part. Component Selection Sessions Specify a session code or zoom to the Sesiones (ttadv2500m000) session to select a session. Integrated Sessions Specify an integrated session code or zoom to the Sesiones (ttadv2500m000) session to select a session. Reports Specify a report code or zoom to the Reports (ttadv3530m000) session to select a report. Forms Specify a form code or zoom to the Forms (ttadv3500m000) session to select a form. Scripts Specify a program script code or zoom to the Program Scripts / Libraries (ttadv2530m000) session to select a script. Objects Only If this check box is selected, only the objects of the
scripts are linked to the solution. Scripts are excluded. Nota This option is only available if you select the Scripts check box. Program Functions Specify a function code or zoom to the Functions (ttadv2560m000) session to select a function. Tables Specify a table code or zoom to the Table Definitions (ttadv4526m000) session to select a table. Domains Specify a domain code or zoom to the Dominios (ttadv4500m000) session to select a domain. Messages Specify a message code or zoom to the Mensajes (ttadv4551m000) session to select a message. Questions Specify a question code or zoom to the Preguntas (ttadv4561m000) session to select a question. Business Objects Specify a Business Object code or zoom to the Objetos de negocio (ttadv7500m000) session to select a Business Object. Labels Specify a label code or zoom to the Labels (ttadv1540m000) session to select a label. Charts Specify an chart code or zoom to the Datos de la aplicación Administrador de gráficos (ttchm1500m000) session to select a chart.
