Quantity

The quantity to be split off from the shipment line.

If the item is serialized, you must specify the serial numbers of the items to be split off. To specify the serial numbers, choose Stock Point Details. The Shipment Line Stock Point Details (whinh4133m000) session is started in which you can specify the serial numbers to be split off.

Shipment

The shipment to which a new shipment line with the split quantity must be added.

If you do not specify a shipment in the current field, LN creates a new shipment to which the new shipment line with the split quantity is added.

If you do not specify a shipment in the current field and the Quantity is more than one, you can specify the number of shipments to which the quantity must be split.

You can specify the number of shipments if you do not specify a shipment in the Shipment field and the Quantity is more than one.

Load

Shipping Container

The shipping container to which a new shipment line with the split quantity must be added. The default value is the shipping container of the origin shipment.

Quantity Staged

The unit of measure in which the inventory of an item is recorded, such as piece, kilogram, box of 12, or meter.

The inventory unit is also used as the base unit in measure conversions, especially for conversions that concern the order unit and the price unit on a purchase order or a sales order. These conversions always use the inventory unit as the base unit. An inventory unit therefore applies to all item types, also to item types that cannot be kept in stock.

Gross Weight

The unit in which the weights are expressed.

Item

The raw materials, subassemblies, finished products, and tools that can be purchased, stored, manufactured, and sold.

You can also define nonphysical items, which are not retained in inventory but can be used to post costs or to invoice services to customers. The examples of nonphysical items:

  • Cost items (for example, electricity)
  • Service items
  • Subcontracting services
  • List items (menus/options)
