| Generate Orders (TPOP) (whinh2201m000)Use this session to generate orders to
replenish items for specific warehouses. LN generates the orders
within an order horizon, based on the item and warehouse
combination's safety stock level, and projected on hand. Note - To automatically process warehousing orders of type Transfer (Manual), select the Process Warehousing Transfer Orders check box.
- If you generate warehousing orders of the type Transfer (Manual), a report is printed with information on the created order.
Order Type A code that identifies the type of a warehousing order. The
default warehousing procedure that you link to a warehousing order type
determines how the warehousing orders to which the order type is allocated are
processed in the warehouse, although you can modify the default procedure for
individual warehousing orders or order lines. LN uses the warehousing-order type in the
current field to generate warehousing orders. If no warehousing-order type is
entered, LN uses the
default warehousing-order type from the Default Order Types by Origin (whinh0120m000) session based on the warehouse-from and
warehouse-to. Note You can only enter
warehousing-order types with transaction type Transfer. Order Type The order type determines which sessions are part of the order
procedure and how and in which sequence this procedure is executed. Default value LN retrieves the default purchase order type
from the Default Order Types by Origin (whinh0120m000) session based on the
warehouse-from and warehouse-to. Number Group The number group used to
generate purchase order numbers. Order Series The series used to generate the
purchase order numbers. Factor The order horizon factor that is defined under TPOP Order Horizon in the Inventory Analysis Parameters (whina0100m000) session. Performance aspects Using this field may result in a considerable increase of
records in your system and may impact system performance. For information on
limiting data growth and the use of system resources, see SIC and TPOP order horizons Constant The order horizon constant that is defined under TPOP Order Horizon in the Inventory Analysis Parameters (whina0100m000) session. Performance aspects Using this field may result in a considerable increase of
records in your system and may impact system performance. For information on
limiting data growth and the use of system resources, see SIC and TPOP order horizons Constant The order horizon constant unit that is defined under TPOP Order Horizon in the Inventory Analysis Parameters (whina0100m000) session. Include Specifications If this check box is selected, LN generates supply
orders with specifications that match the specification
of the demand order. Maximum Number of Orders per Requirement The maximum number of orders that LN can generate for
each requirement. If in a warehouse the projected on hand stock of an item falls below the safety stock, there is a requirement for the difference between the projected
on hand stock and the safety stock. Various requirements can arise per
day. The current field and the Maximum Order Quantity field of the Item Data by Warehouse (whwmd2110s000) session determine the number of orders per requirement
as follows: RQ/MOQ = X, unless X > MNOR. If X > MNOR, MNOR = NOR RQ | Requirement quantity |
---|
MOQ | Maximum order quantity |
---|
X | The number of orders per requirement, unless X >
MNOR |
---|
MNOR | The value of the Maximum Number of Orders per Requirement field |
---|
NOR | The number of orders
per requirement if X > MNOR |
---|
Examples |

Requirement quantity | 1000 | 1000 | 2000 | 1000 | 1000 |

Maximum Order Quantity | 250 | 250 | 250 | 250 | 1000 |

Maximum Number of Orders per Requirement | 4 | 3 | 3 | 7 | 3 |

Number of
orders generated | 4 | 3 | 3 | 4 | 1 |

You can use this field to generate fewer orders than
determined by the Maximum Order Quantity of the Item Data by Warehouse (whwmd2110s000) session, for example, if you must replenish a quantity
larger than your usual quantity without wanting to process more
orders. Combine within Order Interval If this check box is selected, LN combines the warehouse orders that fall within the same order interval into a single order line. LN combines the order
lines that have the same item and order header information. In this way, you prevent multiple orders for the same item
from being generated if there are only minor differences in requirement dates
and times within the same order interval. You can define the order interval in the Item Data by Warehouse (whwmd2510m000) session. For each Item - Warehouse combination, LN combines the
warehouse orders in the following manner: LN determines the order interval of the item specified in the first
warehouse order. Warehouse orders that fall within the order interval as
determined by LN in
step 1 are combined into a single order line. LN determines the order interval of the item specified in second
warehouse order. All other warehouse orders that fall within the order
interval as determined by LN in step 2 are combined into a single order line.
LN continues the process until all the warehouse orders are combined. Combine Warehousing Transfer Orders If this check box is selected, LN combines order lines
with matching header data into a single order header. Process Warehousing Transfer Orders If this check box is selected, the warehouse orders are processed based on
the order procedure defined in the order type, after creation. The orders are
processed until the first step of the order procedure that must be executed
manually is identified. Number Group The number group used to
generate warehousing order numbers. Order Series The series used to generate the
warehousing order numbers. Number Group The number group used to
generate production order numbers. Order Series The series used to generate the
production order numbers. | |
