Adding lot-controlled and revision-controlled outgoing subassembly

The subassembly item can be lot-controlled or revision-controlled. The lot number and the revision of the subassembly item can be specified in the Work Order Outgoing Subassemblies (tswcs4150m000) session. Infor LN defaults these values in the Work Order Incoming Subassemblies (tswcs4151m000) session.

Adding a lot-controlled outgoing subassembly

The use of the lot-controlled item depends on whether the item is set as serialized in the Items (tcibd0501m000) session and the Items - Service (tsmdm2100m000) session. The following scenarios are possible

ScenarioSet as Serialized in the Items (tcibd0501m000) sessionSet as Serialized in the Items - Service (tsmdm2100m000) session
1NoNo
2NoYes
3YesNo
4YesYes

Scenario 1

If a lot-controlled item is not set as serialized in the Items (tcibd0501m000) session and the Items - Service (tsmdm2100m000) session, the Lot Selection and the Lot fields are enabled in the Work Order Outgoing Subassemblies (tswcs4150m000) session and you can specify the values.

Scenario 2

If a lot-controlled item is set as serialized in the Items - Service (tsmdm2100m000) session only, in the Work Order Outgoing Subassemblies (tswcs4150m000) session:

  • The Planned Quantity field is set to 1 and you cannot modify this value.
  • The value in the Lot field is defaulted from the Serialized Items (tscfg2100m000) session, if specified. After the receipt of the subassembly item, the lot number (of the receipt) is updated in the Serialized Items (tscfg2100m000) session.
  • You can set the Lot Selection field to Any or Specific. If this field is set to:
    • Any, the Lot field is disabled. If a default Lot value is not available, you must specify the Lot during the receipt.
    • Specific, specifying the Lot is mandatory.
Scenario 3

If a lot-controlled item is set as serialized in the Items (tcibd0501m000) session only, in the Work Order Outgoing Subassemblies (tswcs4150m000) session:

  • The Planned Quantity field is enabled and you can specify the quantity greater than 1.
  • During the receipt of the subassembly, a receipt line is generated for each serial number and you can specify the Lot individually.
  • You can set the Lot Selection field to Same or Specific. If this field is set to:
    • Same, all the serials are assigned the same Lot.
    • Specific, each serial is assigned a specific Lot and specifying the Lot is mandatory.
  • After the subassembly is received, the Lot and Serial Set option is enabled.
Scenario 4

If a lot-controlled item is set as serialized in the Items (tcibd0501m000) and the Items - Service (tsmdm2100m000) sessions, in the Work Order Outgoing Subassemblies (tswcs4150m000) session:

  • The Planned Quantity field is set to 1 and you cannot modify this value.
  • The value in the Lot field is defaulted from the Serialized Items (tscfg2100m000) or the Serial Numbers (tcibd4101s000) session, if specified.
  • You can set the Lot Selection field to Any or Specific. If this field is set to:
    • Any, the Lot field is disabled. If a default Lot value is not available, you must specify the Lot during the receipt.
    • Specific, specifying the Lot is mandatory.
Adding a revision-controlled outgoing subassembly

If the outgoing subassembly item is revision-controlled, the Revision field is enabled. Infor LN defaults this value from:

  • The Serial Numbers (tcibd4101s000) session or
  • The Serialized Items (tscfg2100m000) session
