Change Physical Breakdown (tscfg2220m000)

Use this session to make changes to a physical breakdown.

Note

You cannot start this session if the Physical Breakdown Changes check box is selected in the Configuration Management Parameters (tscfg0100m000) session.

Action

Select the action you want to carry out on the physical breakdown.

You can either:

Install
Replace
Remove

Item

Enter the item code of a serialized item.

Action	Result
Install	This serialized item is installed into a physical breakdown that you select by either choosing a parent item or an Installation group, to install the item into.
Remove	This serialized item is removed from the physical breakdown that it is currently in.
Replace	This serialized item is replaced from the physical breakdown by another item.

Serial Number

Enter the serial number of a serialized item.

Action	Result
Install	This serialized item is installed into a physical breakdown that you select by either choosing a parent item or an Installation group, to install the item into.
Remove	This serialized item is removed from the physical breakdown that it is currently in.
Replace	This serialized item is replaced from the physical breakdown by another item.

Description

The description or name of the serialized item.

Item

A standard maintenance item.

Action	Result
Install	The item you select in this field becomes the parent item of the item you selected to install. If instead you select an Installation group to install the item into, this field is inactive.
Remove	This field is cleared and inactive.
Replace	The item you select in this field replaces the item that you chose to be replaced.

Serial Number

The unique identifiable number assigned to an item.

Action	Result
Install	The serialized item you select in this field becomes the parent item of the item you selected to install If instead you select an Installation group to install the item into, this field is inactive.
Remove	This field is cleared and inactive.
Replace	The serialized item you select in this field replaces the old item.

Installation Group

The installation group belongs to the physical breakdown that you are changing.

Action	Result
Install	In this field you can specify an Installation group that you want to install the serialized item into, (instead of selecting a parent serialized item for the installed item). If you select a parent item to install the item into, this field is inactive.
Remove	This field is inactive.
Replace	This field is inactive.

Note

You must also select a position in the Installation group for the item in the Position field.

Description

The description or name of the serialized item.

Position

If you install a serialized item into a physical breakdown, then in this field you enter the installation position. This value is either the serialized item's Installation group position (if you specify an Installation group to add the item to), or the position in the parent item (if you specify a parent item to add the item to).

Note

If in the Action field you chose Remove or Replace, this field is inactive.
