How LN calculates the performed

In performance measurement and monitoring, LN calculates the performed in different ways, depending on a number of settings:

  • Costs have been registered on an extension for which, in the Extension (tpptc0110s000) session, both of the following applies:

In this case, LN calculates the performed as follows:

Performed = Budgeted Amount * Progress
  • If the project is a cost-plus project, the costs cannot be registered using an extension. Interim results are not determined and the progress registration states that production is not finished.

In this case, LN calculates the performed:

Performed = Costs Posted to History
  • Costs have been registered on an extension for which, in the Extension (tpptc0110s000) session, the Extension Type is set to Quantities to be Settled.

For a part of the project (such as a number of material lines for a specific element) for which the progress data indicates that production is finished, or production is greater than 100 percent, LN calculates the performed as follows:

Performed = Budget Amt ((Budget Qty * Progress) - Budget Qty) * Sales Price in Control Budget

Note: The performed material costs are increased by the inventory as stated in the progress data, multiplied by the unit cost for the material.

  • Otherwise, LN calculates the performed as follows:

Performed = Budgeted Amount * Progress

Note: The performed material costs are increased by the inventory as stated in the progress data, multiplied by the unit cost for the material.
