Integration with Microsoft Project Server

LN Project is integrated with Microsoft Project Server. Through this integration, the user can access the various user-friendly features that Microsoft Project offers for scheduling, and at the same time avail the extensive functionality that LN Project provides.

To work with the project server integration, the integration must be installed to update the enterprise global template.

During the synchronization of master data from LN, resources such as labor cost object, organization break down structure, and log files are stored as separate text files. With Project Server integration, you must store these resources in a shared location, preferably on a system on which the project server has been installed, that users who perform the integration can access.

While you connect the project, if the user is linked to the Microsoft Project Server, a screen appears, in which the user must specify the complete path of the shared folder as \\<system name>\<shared folder name>, where resource files can be stored.

A preliminary level check is carried out to see if the folder exists and if a file can be saved in the location. If the check fails, the process is stopped.
