Tools (tirpt2140m000)

Use this session to specify the tools for production.

Note

The Repetitive Manufacturing (RPT) check box in the Implemented Software Components (tccom0100s000) session must be selected.

If the production model is multi-product, the tool on which the reporting is based is automatically added to the list.

Item

The end product of the production model for which you are specifying tools.

Production Model

A predefined configuration used in repetitive manufacturing that specifies the production method, list of materials, time and capacity required and reporting method.

A production model contains the following:

  • Production process
  • Time and capacity required
  • Production process reporting
  • Materials supply process
  • Item inspection method
  • Required tools

If the Multi-Product Production check box on a production model is selected, a list of products is added to the production model that specifies which items are produced.

Note
  • Production models are revision controlled. A new revision is generated for every change to the existing configuration.
  • The order system must be Planned.
  • Project Control is disabled.
Production Model Revision

The production model revision number.

Sequence Number

The number that identifies a data record or a step in a sequence of activities. Sequence numbers are used in many contexts. Usually LN generates the sequence number for the next item or step. Depending on the context, you can overwrite this number.

Tool

A tool used by the production model for manufacture.

Note

If the production model is multi-product, the tool that defines the model is added automatically as first on the list and cannot be deleted.

Usage

The number of cycles the selected tool can be used.

Tool's Life Unit

The unit in which the tool life cycle is measured.
