Removing Cost History Data

You can also remove standard cost history data in the Calculate Standard Cost (ticpr2210m000) session or the Actualize Standard Cost and Revalue Inventory (ticpr2220m000) session by selecting the Delete Standard Cost History Data check box.

The standard cost history data is removed based on the value of the Number of Years to Retain Standard Cost History field in the Standard Cost Calculation Parameters (ticpr0100m000) session:

  • If the value of the Number of Years to Retain Standard Cost History field exceeds the period for which you want to remove standard cost history data, nothing will be removed.
Example

If the value of the Number of Years to Retain Standard Cost History field is one year, but only standard cost history data for the last six months is available, nothing will be deleted.

Example

If the value of the Number of Years to Retain Standard Cost History field is one year, and also standard cost history data for the last twelve months is available, then the latest standard cost history data remains in the LN database.

Example

If the value of the Number of Years to Retain Standard Cost History field is one year, but standard cost history data for the last 24 months is available, the standard cost history data for the last 12 months will remain, and the data for the oldest 12 months is deleted.
