Where-Used Engineering Modules (tiapl3511m000)

Use this session to display the product variants that make use of a specific engineering module.

Sub Item

A means to further classify items.

A sub-item can either be:

  • A component item used in a bill of material.
  • A material used in a formula.
Item Type

A classification of items used to identify if the item is, for example, a purchased item, a manufactured item, or an equipment item. Depending on the item's type, certain functions will only apply to that item.

Product Variant

A unique configuration of a configurable item. The variant results from the configuration process and includes information such as feature options, components, and operations.

Example

Configurable item: electric drill

Options:

  • 3 power sources (batteries, 12 V or 220 V)
  • 2 colors (blue, gray).

A total of 6 product variants can be produced with these options.

Main Item

The end result of a production order.

A main item is either be changed to an end item (for delivery to a warehouse), or delivered directly to the customer in bulk.

Position Number

A reference number identifying a specific combination of manufactured and component items in a bill of material. The position number is subdivided by sequence numbers that are used to refer to usage of a component between particular dates.

Reference Type

The type of the demand order from which the product variant originates.

This field can have the following values:

  • Sales Quotation
  • Sales Order
  • Standard Variant
  • Pseudo Order

If you manually entered a product variant, the product variant's reference type is Pseudo Order.

Reference Order

The code of the sales order from which the product variant originates. If the product variant is entered manually, this field displays value 0.

Reference Position

The position number of the sales order line in the Sales Order Lines (tdsls4101m000) session.

If the product variant is entered manually, this field displays value 0.

Assembly Status

The status of the assembly orders that are linked to the product variant.

The default value is Open, which means that no assembly order is generated yet.

Note
  • Several assembly orders can be related to one product variant. The Assembly Status, in principle, displays the status of all orders. For example, only when all orders are Closed, the Assembly Status is set to Closed.
  • Assembly orders cannot be canceled.
  • Although the Assembly Status in some respects resembles the Assembly Order Status in Assembly Control, there are also important differences.
Planned Offline Date

The date when the product variant is planned to come offline.

This date is calculated when assembly orders are generated. If an assembly order is moved, the orders are remixed and offset again. The Planned Offline Date is modified accordingly. When the assembly orders are planned, the Planned Offline Date receives its calculated value.
