Sales Order/Quotation Margin (tdsls0588m000)

Use this session to display the nett margin of a sales order or sales quotation and to view how it is calculated.

This session can be started from the following sessions:

  • Sales Order (tdsls4100m900)
  • Sales Orders (tdsls4100m000)
  • Sales Quotation Lines (tdsls1501m000)

The fields in the Amounts group box contain the totalized amounts of all lines that are linked to the sales order/quotation.

The fields in the Percentages group box contain the totalized percentages of all lines that are linked to the sales order/quotation, related to the Gross Turnover.

 

Sales Order / Sales Quotation

The number of the sales order or sales quotation.

Sold-to Business Partner

Usually a customer's purchase department, the business partner who orders goods or services from your organization, that owns the configurations you maintain, or for whom you perform a project.

The agreement with the sold-to business partner can include the following:

  • Default price and discount agreements
  • Sales order defaults
  • Delivery terms
  • The related ship-to and invoice-to business partner
Currency

A generally accepted medium of exchange such as coins, treasury notes, and banknotes.

The following currency types are available in LN:

  • Home currency, which is used internally by companies to calculate costs, record budgets, and register tax amounts
  • Transaction currency, which is used in transactions with business partners, such as orders and invoices
Gross Turnover

The total gross turnover of all sales order/quotation lines.

The gross turnover is calculated as follows:

Order quantity of all sales order/quotation lines x Price
Discount

The discount amount for the sales order/quotation.

Net Turnover

The gross turnover minus the discount amount for the sales order/quotation.

Standard Cost

The standard cost of the sales order/quotation.

Gross Margin

The gross margin for the sales order/quotation.

The gross margin is calculated as follows:

Nett turnover for the sales order/quotation - standard cost for the sales 
                                              order/quotation
Commissions

The commission amount for the sales order/quotation.

Rebates

The rebate amount for the sales order/quotation.

Net Margin

The gross margin minus the commission amount and rebate amount for the sales order/quotation.

Gross Turnover

The total gross turnover of all sales order/quotation lines, expressed as a percentage.

Note

Because all percentages are related to the gross turnover, this field always has a value of 100(%).

Discount

The discount percentage for the sales order/quotation, expressed as a percentage of the gross turnover.

Nett Turnover

The gross turnover minus the discount amount for the sales order/quotation, expressed as a percentage of the gross turnover.

Standard Cost

The standard cost of the sales order/quotation, expressed as a percentage of the gross turnover.

Gross Margin

The gross margin for the sales order/quotation, expressed as a percentage of the gross turnover.

Commissions

The commission for the sales order/quotation, expressed as a percentage of the gross turnover.

Rebates

The rebate for the sales order/quotation, expressed as a percentage of the gross turnover.

Nett Margin

The gross margin minus the commission amount and rebate amount for the sales order/quotation, expressed as a percentage of the nett turnover.
