To set up lists

To set up lists, carry out the following steps:

  1. Start the Item Groups (tcmcs0123m000) session to define the item groups for the list items.
  2. Start the Items - Defaults (tcibd0102m000) session to define default item data for the list items in each item group.
  3. Start the Items - Defaults (tcibd0102m000) session to define:

    • The item data for each list item.
    • The items that will be the list item components.
  4. Start the List Groups (tcibd3101m000) session to define one or more list groups.
  5. Start the List Components (tcibd3100m000) session to define the components of a list item for a specific list group.
Displaying additional information

If the list item type is Kit, you can use the Kits Available (tcibd3501s000) session to calculate the number of kits that can be built from the quantity of components available in the warehouses. You can start the Kits Available (tcibd3501s000) session from the appropriate menu of the List Components (tcibd3100m000) session.

You can use the Where-Used Components (tcibd3502m000) session to display the list items in which specific components are used.
